Because of the devastating earhquake in Haiti, I couldn’t in good conscience ask you for donations last month. But I do rely on your generous support to be able to sustain this site. I hope that our voices here are unique enough to provide something of value to progressive blogosphere. I’m confident you read opinions here that are distinct from the chorus you find elsewhere. If you value what we do, please consider making a contribution.
And, now, for your viewing pleasure, Demonsheep!!
What the hell was that?
That is the creepiest fucking thing I’ve ever seen. If I still had little kids, I would threaten them by making them watch that whenever they were bad. And then hanging the poster of that demon sheep with the glowing eyes in their bedrooms.
Do you wish you could have those 3 minutes and 22 seconds back?
Kinda, yeah.
Me, too.
I thought it was funny as heck. LOL I love creative political ads and that one would really stick in your mind for a long time.
Yes, yo do have to admire it on a professional/technical level.

I’ve been pondering the idea of setting up a blog myself. You say you rely on donations…do the ads not bring in enough to sustain it? Also, do you blog for a living, or is this something that you do outside of a day job? These questions aren’t meant to challange your assurtions, I’m just a bit green to the idea of running a blog.
there used to be advertising revenue in blogging. Not so much anymore, unless you get invited into Hamsher’s Common Sense Media empire and you get to run ads against Democrats like Patrick Murphy all day.
How dissapointing. Expected, sure, but dissapointing none the less. It’s great that you hold together such a great blog on so little, Booman. Thanks for the work you put in. You and Al over at The Field have kept me sane many-a-times…
A few weeks ago, I received a call from the DNC. I told them we’re doing extreme poverty orgs of late, but I would try, say fifty bucks. I got the telemarketer letter saying fifty bucks a week later. I sent them 25 instead. I knew there was something wrong with giving them the full amount, and then I learned that they gave some ass hole candidate somewhere something like a half million bucks for supporting something entirely undemocratic.
Got snookered again. Last time.
I never give to the party..state or national. I only give to candidates I support.
Ditto that. I gave to the DNC when Dean was running it. But the best bet is not to give to the DSCC or the DCCC or the DNC. Give to the candidates you want to see elected. You don’t want the DSCC to give your money to Blanche Lincoln, do you? K street bought her, let them pay for her.
Good advise from both of you.
Michael Moore is running my two Haiti articles as “must reads” on his site today!!!!
See http://www.michaelmoore.com/words/must-read for the listings – you can get to part 1 and part 2 from there.
That is so cool!!!
And BooMan, if only I were paid more, I would surely be contributing. We don’t always agree, but you are always honest with the evidence, forthright with your opinions, and most of the time, I think you are a God in the blogosphere. So I hope others who are more financially fortunate than me throw in a few bucks on my behalf for you..!
Wonderful, Lisa! That is very cool. Michael is a hero.
Thanks, Alice. Truly an honor!
Here’s a little brain bleach for the above. One of the truly funniest movies I’ve ever seen. Really
Sort of like “Night of the Lepus” with much better effects.
OMG!!!! I love Night of the Lepus, but this looks like a true classic too!
I loved the bit in the GOP commercial with the guy crawling on all fours…Ummmm….. Priceless. :>)
thanks, this is wonderful!
The official home page has been taken down, but it had more sheep jokes and puns on it than anyone should have ever thought up in the first place.
It’s essentially a man’s-hubris/science-gone-horrible-wrong/zombie movie, with sheep.
Can’t believe I missed it. alas that they took it down!
Booman,
I’m waiting on a big pile of money and when it comes through, I’ll send some love your way. Thanks for what you do for us political addicts.
Animal Farm meets Carmina Burana – and why is it of epic length? the new Homer?
I value it. I may not agree with it all the time, but I value it a lot. Happy to help out.
