TEHRAN, Iran (Press TV) – Iran’s Intelligence Ministry says Abdolmalek Rigi, ringleader of the terrorist group Jundallah (Soldiers of God) or People’s Resistance Movement of Iran (PRMI), was at a US base 24 hours before being captured by Iranian forces.

Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar told reporters on Tuesday that Rigi was arrested outside the country as he was preparing for a new act of sabotage. He was consequently transferred to Iran.
In a news conference following Rigi’s capture, Iran’s Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi shed light on certain details regarding Rigi’s arrest as well as his links with foreign elements.
Moslehi said that Americans utilized an Afghan passport for Rigi, a declaration which adds to already existing evidence on Rigi’s links with the US.
Moslehi said that Rigi had contacts with CIA and Mossad and had even met the NATO military chief Jaap de Hoop Scheffer in Afghanistan in April 2008. According to the minister, Rigi had also contacts with certain EU countries and traveled to them.
The minister said Iran reserved the right to sue the US and UK as, according to the minister, they coordinated Rigi’s terrorist attacks within Iran.
The Jundallah group has claimed responsibility for numerous terrorist attacks in Iran. The group has carried out mass murder, armed robbery, kidnapping, acts of sabotage and bombings. They have targeted civilians and government officials, as well as all ranks of Iran’s military.

(NYT) – The rebel group whose members were executed, Jundallah, is considered a terrorist group by the Iranian government and is believed to have killed hundreds of Iranian soldiers and civilians. Iran has accused the United States of supporting Jundallah, which claims to be fighting on behalf of the Baluchi ethnic group in Iran and Pakistan. The group also plays on sectarian tensions in Iran, which is mostly Shiite.
Iranian Human Rights GroupJundallah claimed responsibility for the bombing of a Shiite mosque in Zahedan on May 28 in which 25 people were killed. Two days later, Iran hanged three men accused of being involved.

Heard a radio report about intelligence communities in the Middle East. The best security services are from Israel, Egypt and Iran (VEVAK). The Israelis are well known for infiltration of terror groups and use of informants. I’ve written about the Mossad and the Rote Armee Fraktion or Baader-Meinhof group in Germany. Link. In this instance, this was a remark off-the-cuff, expecting the use of informants to locate Rigi in Baluchistan.
(Haaretz) – Mosab Hassan Yousef is the son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a Hamas founder and one of its leaders in the West Bank. The intelligence he supplied Israel led to the exposure of a number of terrorist cells, and to the prevention of dozens of suicide bombings and assassination attempts on Israeli figures.
Yousef was considered the Shin Bet’s most reliable source in the Hamas leadership, earning himself the nickname “the Green Prince”.
The story of Yousef’s spiritual transformation appeared in Haaretz Magazine in August 2008. Only now, however, is Yousef exposing the secret he kept since 1996, when he was first held by Shin Bet agents seeking to enlist him in infiltrating the upper echelon of Hamas.
Their efforts proved successful, and Yousef was released from prison in 1997. His former handler, who no longer serves with the security service, says Yousef collaborated with Israel because he wanted to save lives.
