Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be continuing with the painting of the Cape May transitional-style house . I’m using the photo seen directly below.
I will be using my usual acrylics on a 12 x 12 inch gallery-style (thick) canvas.
When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
I have continued to map out the various components of the house. The shadowed white sections (left-facing) now appear in blue. The lit right-facing ones are currently a very light blue/near white. I’ve continued to add red to the shingled sections. Note that this is only a first layer and will change as I go along. The porch areas now appear for the first time. They will be heavily shadowed as in the photo. Things are starting to come together.
