Well, I’m beat. Finn has his first significant cold and he can’t understand why when he tries to drink from a bottle he can’t breath. This makes him irritable in the extreme. Add to this that I had no internet, phone, or television access from about 10:30am on today, and you can see that my day was very frustrating and unpleasant.
I see that Pelosi won election to retain her leadership role and that John Boehner was elected Speaker without a single dissenting vote. That’s not really news, although it further confirms the hive-mind of Republicans.
I was interested to see that Roger Ailes called Scott McClellan a “shithead” and that he believes that left-wing rabbis are gunning for Glenn Beck.
I’m telling you, this right-wing revolution isn’t going to end well.
I’m beat, too.
I have an aircraft design homework that isn’t terribly difficult but is very time consuming, and it’s due tomorrow at 3:30 PM. This wouldn’t have been that bad if the earlier part of the week didn’t suck so bad with two tests.
And then after I’m done with this, which will take me all night well into the morning, I have to work on a research paper for high altitude wind turbines/solar cells that’s due on Friday…AND I have a lab report due on Friday at the same time. Mix that with a rocket propulsion project due on Tuesday, and I am at the point of going AWOL.
I can’t wait for Wednesday…the next one.
what’s your major?
Aerospace engineering with minors in Math and Women’s Studies. Prolly shoulda added political science as well haha.
I’m trying to work with wind turbines after graduation, so my design project makes sense in that respect.
However, I’m doing Peace Corps after graduation.
You might be interested in my uncle’s work. Watch the video.
Very interesting, but gosh darnet do I hate stability and control theory. It’s not terribly difficult, it’s very useful, but it’s so boring and tedious.
yeah, I don’t think my uncle’s work is not difficult. More like insanely difficult. Let’s balance a telescope on a satellite and make it so it doesn’t vibrate.
I’m not saying the work is easy, but control theory in general isn’t hard to grasp. Putting it into practice is another story. I was commenting on the theory behind it, not his research.
Exciting and challenging – wishing you the best with it!!!
Fortunately, DWTS with Bristol Palin will keep most people from noticing.
I’m telling you, this right-wing revolution isn’t going to end well.
Do you mean in violence? Or do you think the right will spectacularly implode?
Violence…
And who is going to lead the second uprising of the South? Sarah Palin? Jim DeMint? George Will?
Palin et al. don’t want an actual uprising, but the forces that they’re unleashing will inevitably escape their control and we will quickly turn into Rwanda.
Why don’t they? Do you really think they don’t know where their rhetoric leads? I bet they do. Palin. Beck. They are very manipulative people.
Giving them the benefit of the doubt – just this once.
Josh TPM pointed out something: Schuler didn’t campaign and he still got 43 votes. That is not a ringing endorsement for the Speaker and future minority leader.
that DOES sound shitty. And poor Finn! Have you been able to give him any children’s congestant or anything?
and no, this right wing tantrum won’t end well at all.
can I have as the laugh of the rest of the week that the people of Alaska were so determined that they WROTE IN their Senator and her name was MURKOWSKI?
that is hilarious.
trying not to enjoy too much the recap of Joe Miller’s tweets as he shopped for furniture for his DC office
