Wow. Okay. So, let’s blame Bernie Sanders for some random arsonist in Massachusetts who likes to set fires to big homes.
Police and fire officials are investigating an arson fire in Sandwich that has a disturbing similarity with a suspicious incident in Barnstable.
In both cases, the arsonist left a calling card, the message, “(expletive) the rich” at the scene.
In an attempt to throw our accusations of gay-baiting and racism back at us, some JammieWearingFool says, “Maybe if the left didn’t demonize wealthy people so much they wouldn’t stoke such hatred in their supporters.”
Or, maybe, if wealthy people hadn’t enjoyed super low tax rates for the last thirty years while we ran the government on people’s Social Security money, we wouldn’t be so upset about the idea of you using our Social Security money to pay off the debt you ran up making sure the world is safe for ExxonMobil. It couldn’t be that this random arsonist is actually pissed off about getting hosed, could it? Because I know plenty of people are about to blow a gasket at how badly this country is rigged against working people. Even when we have a Democratic president and huge Democratic majorities in Congress, we still can’t get decent reforms and we have to settle for half-ass. So, yeah, blame it on some Jewish guy from Vermont. I’m sure Bernie Sanders is to blame for every out-of-work malcontent who is fantasizing about slitting the throats of the top 2% that just got a near-trillion dollar bailout in the form of lower income and estate taxes.
At least JammieWearingFool chose an appropriate pseudonym.
Indeed, he (or she) did.
I’m trying to figure out why the fat cats can’t understand that their world would be better if the people at the bottom of the ladder had more economic security. If I had $10 million bucks, I’m pretty sure that the well being of the janitor and the teacher and the waitress would matter to me.
Not because of any soft-heartedness and sympathy and liberal values– but rather because of enlightened self-interest. Who wants to live among desperate, struggling people? Once you’ve achieved economic safety for yourself, wouldn’t it be in your own best interest to have the society structured so that those in the lower ranks were at least minimally happy and comfortable?
Because you are also desperate and struggling. One of the joys of very unequal societies is that they make the rich more stressed and insecure as well, since the price of losing your privileges is so high.
Also, anyone who’s done what’s necessary to make money like that is highly likely to have all sorts of personality issues. Gross insecurity for a start.
Wow, a RWNJ not blaming Obama?
Must be slipping. Bernie must have really scared these clowns.
You may hate-on Muslims without a qualm.
You may hate-on “illegal” brown people with nary a frown.
You may hate-on blacks without disturbing the calm.
You may hate-on Jews in a “Christian” town.
All these you may hate-on, even violence is allowed.
But you must never hate-on The Rich, so smug and proud.
You can make fun of Indians without anyone questioning your judgment. Look at the commercials, or the Simpsons.
For some reason, Indians are still fair-game for making fun of accents and using degrading stereotypes.
Yes, I forgot to include a couple of lines for “yellow” and “red” people. Also, “short” and “fat” people… and smokers!
