Hello again painting fans.

This week I’ll be continuing with the painting of the Cold Spring, New York structure.  I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 8×8 inch gallery-wrapped (thick) canvas.

I’m using the photo seen directly below.


When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.


Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

I’ve extended the building and adjusted the perspective a bit.  Looking again, I think that the perspective could use a bit more adjustment.  The original photo just has a bit more drama.

I’ve also added some base color.  I will be building layers of color to achieve some depth.  Note that the arched windows have been placed but will need some adjustment when I change the perspective.  There is much to do.  Finally, note the cars in the foreground.
