Booman wrote an article today called Obama’s Speech.
In it he makes the following totally insane comment:
I’m tired of listening to bullshit. And even this fine speech had too much bullshit for my taste. But it appeared to be pretty solid overall.
Booman appears to have never stepped in any real cow manure.
It is not at all solid.
It is squishy. Just as is Obama. The only difference between Obama’s bullshit and the real, methane-loaded kind? Obama’s is thoroughly encased on hypmomedia-produced plastic wrap. It has been so completely denatured that it no longer stinks.
Read on for more.
In a comment on Booman’s post, joe from Lowell writes:
It was just a speech about the next 12 months. I’ve got a lot of questions about what comes after that.
What comes after that?
An election.
Duh.
Which was the real message of this speech.
Obama’s words:
Yet tonight, we take comfort in knowing that the tide of war is receding. Fewer of our sons and daughters are serving in harm’s way. We’ve ended our combat mission in Iraq, with 100,000 American troops already out of that country. And even as there will be dark days ahead in Afghanistan, the light of a secure peace can be seen in the distance. These long wars will come to a responsible end.
Translation:
I have succeeded. Re-elect me.
As has been clear since Obama was first propped up by the corporate-run PermaGov to run against that pre-designated old loser McCain, he is there to fix the results of 8 years of BushCo errors and incompetence.
The business of America is business.-Calvin Coolidge
Truer words have never been spoken.
BushCo and the Iraq/Afghan/anti-Islamic wars proved to be bad for business. Had they been good for business they would have continued. Obama is there to fix the errors of the past.
The business errors.
Not moral errors except insofar as they relate to business.
The business related-errors.
Never confuse the two concepts and the scales will rapidly drop from your eyes.
Bet on it.
One reason why Osama bin Laden had to be taken out without a trial is that he was clearly aware of the business-related aspects of the war in which he was involved. Had he been given a public trial…which would have amounted to a public forum…he would have delineated the PermaGov’s real interests quite clearly. Although they have been pitched as moral and/or religious wars by their Islamist leaders…bullshit masters themselves, most of them…the wars in the Islamic countries since the Russian debacle in Afghanistan have been fought as economic wars.
Doubt this?
Look at the current state of the US economy.
Our war efforts have bled us dry.
Now you may say “Oh, but it was the greed of the bankers and speculator thieves like Bernie Madoff that blew the U.S. economy out of the water!!!”
More bullshit.
9/11 was a tactical economic strike, and a very effective one at that. Why do you think that the very first real thing that George Butch said after 9/11 was “Go out and shop, people!!!”
C’mon…
If the 9/11 plotters had wanted to start a real war they would have flown a minute or two further north, dropped their planes on the Indian Point nuclear plant 20 miles up the Hudson and killed a few million Americans.
The Arabic-language network Al-Jazeera released a full transcript Monday of the most recent videotape from Osama bin Laden in which the head of al Qaeda said his group’s goal is to force America into bankruptcy.
Al-Jazeera aired portions of the videotape Friday but released the full transcript of the entire tape on its Web site Monday.
“We are continuing this policy in bleeding America to the point of bankruptcy. Allah willing, and nothing is too great for Allah,” bin Laden said in the transcript.
He said the mujahedeen fighters did the same thing to the Soviet Union in Afghanistan in the 1980s, “using guerrilla warfare and the war of attrition to fight tyrannical superpowers.”
“We, alongside the mujahedeen, bled Russia for 10 years until it went bankrupt and was forced to withdraw in defeat,” bin Laden said.
He also said al Qaeda has found it “easy for us to provoke and bait this administration.”
“All that we have to do is to send two mujahedeen to the furthest point east to raise a piece of cloth on which is written al Qaeda, in order to make generals race there to cause America to suffer human, economic and political losses without their achieving anything of note other than some benefits for their private corporations,” bin Laden said.
Yup.
It worked, too.
Look around.
The so-called “Arab Spring?”
Almost all of the U.S.-supported dictators have either fallen or are about to fall.
The U.S. has been bled to the point of bankruptcy just as was the U.S.S.R., only this hypnomedia-run system has so far managed to produce a different reaction to the bleeding than did the lame Pravda routine that almost no Russians had swallowed since the end of W.W. II.
Remember that old Chemical Bank catchphrase?
“When your needs are financial, the reaction is Chemical.”
Well here in the United States of Omertica, when your needs are hype-related the the reaction is plastic.
Plastic surgery.
Bet on that as well.
Booman is “tired of listening to bullshit?”
Then he should turn his fucking TV off, because the entire system is based on bullshit.
Step away from the TV with your brains in the air!
But NOOOOOOoooooo…
NEWSTRIKE!!!
MEDIASTRIKE!!!
CULTURESTRIKE!!!
VAYA!!!
But NOOOOOOoooooo…
Booman writes:
I’m impatient, as I am sure you all are, but slow progress is better than no progress at all.
Slow progress, eh? The most important “progress” that I am seeing is that we are sinking deeper and deeper into the bullshit.
I give up.
You win.
Bullshit wins.
Again.
Wake the fuck up.
Later…
