Remember, young children love to listen to the same songs over and over. So, you can spend the next few years listening to Raffi (and imitators) every time you’re in the car together, or you can be listening to the likes of the Holmes Brothers.
Speaking from personal experience, it was great fun having a preschooler who could tell the difference between Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight in the first two bars of any given song. 🙂
We had music playing constantly while the kids were growing up. They started a band in high school and are still playing the bars many, many years later. They never made any money, but sure had a lot of fun. Got voted Best Band last year in one of those “best of” surveys the local news does from time to time.
We had a great time at the farmer’s market this morning – they had an old time/bluegrass band playing, and Finn was just loving it – dancing, singing, clapping. I love that he is so into music.
It’s good to see you’re raising him right.

Very cute about Aretha vs Gladys. 🙂
It’s BlobFest time!!
Do people throw jello when the blob appears (like the “Great Scott” scene in Rocky Horror?
I don’t think so, but they are selling blob pastries at the coffee shop across the street.
The sign in the window says, “Eat your blob, before it eats you.”
