He also must have a really tiny penis. In any event he obviously never met a political protest he won’t weasel out of, even if that means he has to call the cops on unemployed and underemployed protesters in his district:
Staffers for Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) called police on Thursday evening to disperse unemployed protesters staging a sit-in at his Kenosha, Wis., office, according to the protesters and police. […]
“People don’t realize that they have every right to stand up and talk to their congressman,” Shanon Molina, 31, told HuffPost on Friday.
Molina, who lives in Kenosha with her daughter, said she lost her full-time job as an office administrator in 2009. For 18 months she received unemployment benefits and picked up a few shifts as a waitress and bartender. In January, she landed a new job as an office administrator, but at half the hours and half the pay of the previous job, which she said she’d had for 10 years.
“I have a child to support, I have a house to keep up,” Molina said. “I didn’t choose to be in this situation. I’m in an emergency here.” […]
Molina said she and other members of Wisconsin Jobs Now, a coalition of community groups, neighborhood associations and labor unions, organized the Kenosha protest, which at one point on Thursday she said attracted more than 100 people.
“I went there to talk to Paul Ryan,” Molina said. “They said he was on vacation with his family in Colorado.”
He wasn’t even in his district to be accosted questioned by these evil liberal union marxist fascist thugs his own constituents and he still had to call the cops on them? There’s a name for someone like that. Actually several names. I’ll let pick your favorite in the comments.
Fascist!
Bet Molina would be even more p**sed if she saw the neighborhood where Ryan was hangin out. If ever there was a case to point to taxing the rich, this should be added to the list.
So this Koch sucker is on vacation, yet the fascist Pukes whine like little kids over President Obama’s?
That said, Steven’s headline is wrong. Everything about Ryan is small.
Going down in November 2012.
Somebody go find a Democrat to talk to these people. With 100 unemployed people, you could have one hell of a campaign committee.
We are already organized here in Wisconsin.
The word is problem.
It’s true Steven. He is definitely compensating for something.
To be fair, there is no reason to criticize Mr Ryan over this.
The sit-in people went inside about 11:45 while the rest of us kept marching outside. The police were not called until 4:00 when it was close to time to shut the office for the weekend. The protesters went inside knowing Mr Ryan was not inside. The police call was just part of the script for an event such as this.
Why is it that I doubt your participation?
Beats me. What quicklund describes is exactly how many such protests unfold in congressional home district offices. And also to be fair, it obviously wasn’t Ryan who called the cops, it was his staffers. I doubt they’d want to disturb him over this.
That said, Steven’s headline is wrong. Everything about Ryan is small. Very, very small.
What is the point of your comment, other than a gratuitous and absolutely useless insult?
Maybe therapy will reveal an answer?
I am no fan of Paul Ryan. If Iwas a fan, it is just barely possible that I would not have protested his office.
I am merely stating that the very people who conducted the sit-in did not expect anything other than the police to arrive at some point. That is what any office manager would do in such a situation. It is part of the script.
One name we could all work for: soon-to-be ex-Congresscritter
Ryan’s district, south-eastern Wisconsin, will not be easy for a Democrat to win. The district was R+2, and has been improved under the recently-approved redistricting map to maybe R+4. Still, he has made himself Target #1, and he has a challenger already who sounds credible.
He is already campaigning. He appears at virtually every event in Kenosha. I’ve run across him probably eight times now. He’s already laying the groundwork among his base. He’s also getting a lot of practice speaking in public. And the local Party organization is hoping that the state and national Party organizations will provide Mr Zerban support in 2012. Or district has been written off pretty much since Les Aspin resigned his seat to become President Clinton’s first Defense Secretary.
So yep, you ar right. It will be an uphill climb but for the first time in his career, Mr Ryan will have a bona fide challenger.
Here’s a suggestion. Send activists into Ryan’s office in tiny groups of two or three to ask about his next town hall and offer $30 Monopoly money from each so they can ask the Congressman a question at that town hall. When asked to leave, they should, but the next 2 or 3 should go into his office 10 minutes later with the same request.
BTW, I’ll fill in the blank as:
Paul Ryan is a Very Big Pantywaist. Douchebag’s probably been taken.
