I’ve been busy with doctor appointments and other chores, but I thought you’d enjoy reading about this. Michele Bachmann never was a true tea partier, and now they’re asking her to get out of the presidential race.
In Bachmann’s case, it is clear that the campaign has become less about reform and more about her personal effort to stay relevant and sell books; a harsh commentary, but true. It’s not about tea party values or championing real plans to solve real problems. While other campaigns are diving into the substance, the supposed tea party candidate Bachmann is sticking to thin talking points and hanging on for dear life.
Every day the campaign flounders, it risks hurting the credibility of the movement. If she really is about the tea party, and making it successful, it’s time for the Congresswoman to move on. The Tea Party doesn’t have a spokesperson, and it’s certainly not Michele Bachmann.
Ouch.
this is too funny for words
Sounds like they’re pissed about the TP being exposed as nothing but hardcore far-right socially conservative Republicans, and that they want those who wear those credentials on their sleeves to gtfo:
Well seabe, you beat me to it with your comment. That’s exactly how I read it, too. Without the socially conservative, social issues crowd, the tea party is nothing more than a small bitch session consisting of a few angry, middle aged white guys sitting around down at the local doughnut shop.
Go ahead, tea party leaders. Tell them their Jesus stuff is too distracting to “the cause”.
“it is clear that the campaign has become less about reform and more about her personal effort to stay relevant and sell books”
(aside from the word “her”), couldn’t that sentence apply to at least half of the current candidates. why just focus on bachmann for this?
I guess because she’s so supposed to be so Tea Partyish.
I think I just heard the Herman Cain dog-whistle. From what I understand, he’s broken just about every record for demonstrating a total lack of interest in actual campaigning.
Thank the gods he doesn’t have a turd blossom on his team.
She’s lacking the chutzpah that she can’t pronounce.
It appears that the Tea Party has learned a lesson from the Delaware and Nevada Senate elections.
And that lesson is: No Gurls.
That’s only if you ignore Colorado and Alaska.
