Hello again painting fans.
This week I’ll be with the painting of the Physick Estate in Cape May, New Jersey. It is seen in the photo directly below. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 12×12 inch canvas.
When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
I used this installment to add to the roof and correct some small areas. The roof has now received another layer of paint along with some highlights to help define the various gables. I’ll probably add to the highlighted areas before this is done. Below the roof I’ve changed angles and attempted to get things properly in line. The hanging roof in the center now demonstrates appropriate perspective. I’ve attempted to get the porch posts in order but they still need further attention. Finally, the paths seen in the photo now divide the grassy area.
