We have seen poll numbers with Obama leading here or Romney leading there, but the true outcome will be decided by the electoral college vote, so here is what I think the states that Obama has locked up. I am going on the assumption that Romney is the nominee of the Republicans, so take this with a grain of salt, but here goes.
Obama states; Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, DC, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, New Mexico. Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii, (22 states, plus DC, 266 electoral votes)
Romney states; Alaska, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, South Carolina. (23 states, 186 electoral votes).
Tossup states; Arizona, Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia. (5 states, 86 electoral votes).
