Aside from being Republican governors, what do Jane Hull (AZ), Mike Huckabee (AR), George Pataki (NY), and Mitt Romney(MA) have in common?

As reported by the LA Times earlier this week, they all signed laws requiring employers to include contraceptive services as part of basic health care coverage—laws that were models for the federal Affordable Care Act.  From 2001-09 the Bush administration upheld and enforced a similar federal EEOC requirement for companies with more than 15 employees.

Why, it’s almost as if this has only become a big issue because Republicans and their religious allies are looking for any excuse they can find to oppose the Obama administration at every turn—regardless of what Republicans previously said and did.  Yeah…almost exactly like that.
