The Washington Post concern trolls the Romneys’ appearance on The Today Show:
On the set in New York, for a show scheduled to air next Tuesday, Romney gushed about Nicole Elizabeth “Snooki” Polizzi, the potty-mouthed star of the MTV series “Jersey Shore.” He marveled, “Look how tiny she’s gotten. She’s lost weight. She’s energetic. Just her spark-plug personality is kind of fun.”
But coming at a moment of international crisis, as U.S. embassies in the Middle East were beset by anti-American protests, the interview brought shudders from some Republicans who fear the Romney campaign is running aground in its final stretch.
“Deaver is turning over in his grave,” said one prominent Republican strategist, referring to Michael Deaver, the late image-maker for Ronald Reagan.
Two things that are just the right height: the trees in Michigan, and Snooki.
Actually, it’s LIVE with Kelly and Michael.
Romney is a really strange man. Its like he is looking at life through a prism or something.
Anyone else kinda afraid that Romney/Ryan will start receiving intelligence briefing soon? After this past week, I suspect that Romney is outsourcing his FP creds to his advisors. Whatever they say he should say he does. So I fully expect that Romney will hand off the classified briefings to those advisors and I would not be surprised to have Romney use this classified information to score political points.

Like I said in the previous thread, it’s so obvious that they are trying to emulate the Obamas and its just comes off as creepy and fake.
People, with my tinfoil hat firmly in place upon my pointy little head, I truly believe that Romney and/or his minions, perpetrated the actions of 9/11/12. I believe that Romney, like Reagan, has entered into a deal with US enemies, in order to gain a partisan political advantage. It all fits too well.
Fortunately, the people that Romney has working for him are flat out not as good as the people the Reagan had working for him. For this to succeed, a slight bit of subtlety is necessary. You can’t just say that the actions wouldn’t have happened and expect people to believe it wholesale. You have to offer some kind of reasoning that doesn’t include “trust me”. These people can’t see beyond the next days news cycle and will end up trampling all over the primary message with inconsequential bullshit. Its what they do best. It’s just too much to believe in the long run (long run being about 3 weeks in this case).
Snooki for secdef!
In 1988, Bush was running as Reagan II. He is and was obviously an aristocrat, without the slightest bit of the common touch. So, halfway through the campaign, he announced that his favorite snack was pork rinds.
Yuck.
