interesting that when the preliminary tax estimates were released back in jan/feb there was an estimated adjusted income of nearly $21m and today it’s $13.7m…where’d that $7.3m go?
l don’t know about you, but l’m always curious when numbers come in that are off by a third.
guess his off shore banking and swiss numbered accts accountants really came through this year.
As if anyone wouldn’t smell a very stinky rat by team-Mitt suddenly offering a twenty-year income tax rate summary. Too bad for Mitt that only those to the right of Nixon are math challenged.
“Scott Pelley: Well- as you know, a lot of people were concerned about the video of the fundraiser in which you talked about the 47 percent of the American people who don’t pay taxes. Peggy Noonan, a very well-known conservative columnist, said that it was an example of this campaign being incompetent. And I wonder if any of that criticism gets through to you and whether you’re concerned about it at all, whether-
Mitt Romney: Well, that’s not-
Scott Pelley: -the concerns of Republicans-
Mitt Romney: That’s not…that’s not the campaign. That was me, right? I- that’s not a campaign.
Scott Pelley: You are the campaign-
Mitt Romney: I’ve got a very effective campaign. It’s doing a very good job. But not everything I say is elegant. And I want to make it very clear, I want to help 100 percent of the American people.
This is a Sarah Palin like answer to Pelley’s question right
Yup, they’ve made up this whole mythology to justify the gazzillions of dollars they ‘earn’. Outside of actors, I don’t know of any group that celebrates the shit they ‘produce’ more than they do.
Two emails from a conservative Republican friend caught my eye today.
The first, entitled “The Lesser of Two Weasels”, was an argument for why Mitt Romney still deserved their votes.
The second reported on a “Congressional Reform Act of 2012” that would essentially strip a lot of Congressional perqs. Susan Milligan of US News and World Report debunks this one in Warren Buffet and the Mythical Congressional Reform Act
Anyone else catch Stephanie Miller’s show this morning? Her favorite sound effect was the following sound bite of Marie Antoinette’s radio interview where she lost her shit saying how she would respond to criticism from Peggy Noonan and friends…
Stop it!
This is hard! You wanna try it? Get in the ring!
This is hard!
And you know it’s, it’s an important thing that we’re doing right now and it’s an important election. And it is time for ALL Americans to realize how significant this election is. And how lucky we are to have someone with Mitt’s qualifications and experience and know-how to be able to have the opportunity to run this country.
-Ann Romney radio interview 9/20/2012
Played it over and over and over. Especially the “Stop it! This is hard!” part. She’d cut people off in mid-sentence with that, even. “This is hard” even became a theme on the Current TV Newsbreaks.
It was a thing of comedic art. Sorta reminiscent of Dubya’s whining about all the Presidentin’ stuff – “It’s Hard Work!”
Stuff sure is funny. And lovable. But these sorts of verbal mishaps are pushing him further and further away from the Presidency, if that’s what he wants in 2016 (and assuming Hillary doesn’t run).
Dems love Joe, but they aren’t going to nominate a total goofball for Prez. Maybe if goofiness is only part of Brand Joe – but not if it’s the dominant part.
Damn I sure wouldn’t want to have to be against Harry Reid in his boxing days! http://politicalwire.com/archives/2012/09/21/reid_still_not_satisfied_with_romney_tax_disclosure.htm

I hope the Democrats are paying attention to that Ryan video…
A lame duck is still lame.
seriously, WTF?
Romney: My campaign doesn’t need a turnaround

Willard is a clown. Just goes to show you our Galtian elite aren’t as smart as they’re made out to be.

What a contrast, like a smack in the face! I’m glad we have the good sports with us, ’cause they certainly don’t.

“I’ve heard the urgency in his voice when he comes…”
Whoa! Not sure I should have touched that.
