Welcome to Friday Foto Flogging, a place to share your photos and photography news. We were inspired by the folks at European Tribune who post a regular Friday Photoblog series to try the same on this side of the virtual Atlantic. We also thought foto folks would enjoy seeing some other websites so each week we’ll introduce a different photo website.
This Month’s Theme: Winter Scenes (beach pictures accepted with pleasure).
IMPORTANT NOTE!
Next month’s Friday Foto Flogging will be the last one that we will post. The theme for the last photo flog (March 8, 2013) is Endings.
We will be happy to participate if anyone decides to take over.
Thanks so very, very much to everyone who has shared their wonderful photos with us over the years. It’s been great fun.

Mosquito Lagoon in Winter
Very, very nice — a welcome contrast to our world of brown and gray. Thanks.
I like the perspective and, of course, the greens and blues.
Well, this theme is quite appropriate – it’s snowing outside while I’m posting this 🙂

btw, andi and olivia: your shots are great. especially like the second shot of each of you!
Glad we could match up so nicely with your weather. I love all the shots of the snow on the sculptures — it’s fascinating seeing the different ways the snow adheres to shapes.
I enjoyed the snowy statues too. The last one actually gave me a chill.
If you like cross country skiing…

then this is the perfect terrain:

Not exactly the beach scenes I was expecting. 🙂
The contrast between the white snow and the deep blue skies makes the photos particularly striking.
OK, then –

Ah … perfect.
Looks like a fantasy world to me. Lovely!
What a great winter set, Andi! And olivia’s squirrels shot was a laugh out loud for me.

Fun titles! I like the last one with all the activity and the touch of gold light.
Love all the critters on the trails, o.
Andi, the frozen bubbles are my favorite, but the leaf is a close second.
Thanks to both of you for orchestrating all the fabulous photo Fridays for four years. I’m looking forward to see who can do the photo version of the Day in the Life sustained note.
What a fantastic photo! And a great way to make sure of getting a good view. 🙂
Wonderful shot, hurria!
Lovely shots. I especially like the two streaking clouds shots.
Bringing out the big guns.
New car?
😉
You escaped the really deep stuff, then? This doesn’t look too bad.
We got a foot of snow. This spot was actually a shopping center a distance away from us.
A guess in comparison to other places, that’s not too awful but a foot of snow is still a major nuisance.
Yep, it could have been a lot worse. But I did spend about 2 hours yesterday with a snow shovel. I have a power shovel but it was just too windy.

Hi AndiF & Olivia (My Canadian Sister in Arms)
Having been in a severe medical setback along with Teri.(We had a very serious flu attack) I`ve been off-line for a few weeks.
I had an idea that maybe the FFFF would be up this weekend seeing as I know it is the beginning of the month since my birthday coincides.
So I shall be back tomorrow with some amazing “beach” images.
As you may remember I`ve been building a new reef tank.
I have some amazing additions to it & I was also fooled today by a friend who came & introduced two exceptional corals in the reef for my birthday.
I`ve been adding some fantastic specimens the past few months & the reef is almost in showcase form.
A few more months of its development should take it there.
I also have some quite exotic fish, with more coming to really excite the viewers.
I`ll be back tomorrow on my birthday (hint hint) with some of my recent captures.
Btw, Teri & I feel much much better.
At one point she`d asked me to stay home from work since she was afraid she might not make it.
That is also how I felt.
We were very very sick.
I`m also going to change my will back to what it was two weeks ago.
(Hah)
See you all tomorrow.
It`s great to be back.
I’m really sorry to hear that the both of you have been so sick but very glad you are on the right side of recovery.
