Who’s going to win the NCAA tourney?
Will the president sign an immigration reform bill?
A background check bill?
A large-capacity ammunition bill?
A tax-reform bill?
A bill that raises revenue?

NCAA: I don’t follow sport.
Immigration: No. GOP will dropout and blame unions and gays.
background check: No. GOP will block and then MSM will say it was bipartisan because a handful of Democrats won’t touch gun control.
large-capacity ammunition bill: No. See above.
A tax-reform bill: No. GOP House will never cooperate.
A bill that raises revenue: No. See above.
NCAA Tourney…Univ. of Kansas
Nothing will happen with the rest, because the GOP thinks hunters need a 30 round clip to shoot a deer, and the rich need another tax break.
I’m still in first place, but my position was just weakened. I have Louisville beating Kansas. I also had Miami in the Final Four. Now I am down to having Florida and Duke win tonight and Ohio State go to the Final Four. Plus a Louisville championship.
Here’s my prediction, though it’s not one of your options.
Supreme court strikes down DOMA on the grounds of the federal government interfering in a state issue. This is a solid wing for the right on federalism and states rights, and another back door set up to screw over liberalism. Liberals still cheer, but Roberts moves forward on his agenda here. At the same time, they punt on Prop 8 because the state won’t defend it. Liberals cheer that California has moved on, but this effectively hands the entire issue back over to the states so red state social cons can do their own thing.
The end result, a solid win for liberalism on social issues, with some red meat to social cons as well. But a devastating win for the federalist (aka establishment and anti new deal) wing of the Republican party.
Second prediction… as Obamacare is now a tax this means it’s subject to budget reconciliation, a process that can’t be filibustered. Look for Republicans to use this to chip away at various parts of it they can get shaky Democrats to go along with. It will all be done through the back door.
NCAA Tourney: I’m going to say Kansas, just cuz I can.
Immigration reform: Yes. It will take a few months and be ugly, but sure. Remember ACA died three times before it passed.
Background Check: Absolutely. The President is a master of using public opinion against the GOP and slacker Dems. Watch closely how the local media portray the President’s event today.
Large Capacity: Probably not. Not with this congress.
Tax Reform: Dark horse yes. There will be some unpleasant compromise, but I’m not going to rule it out.
Raises Revenue: If the Admin and Dems can frame it effectively and exploit one of the GOP hissy fits, there might be thread the needle chance. At the very least I think they can upend the sequester.
What else?
No one besides Ginsberg retires from the bench while Obama is in office.
1-Will The U.S. take part…covertly or not so covertly…in a war w/Iran? If so…when?
2-Will The U.S. take part…or be forced to take part and/or make it look like it has been forced to take part…in a war w/North Korea? Again…if so, when?

Now I’m depressed again.
Who’s going to win the NCAA tourney?
Florida Gulf Coast. Only to see Jim Nantz’s head explode.
Will the president sign an immigration reform bill?
No. The GOP base will revolt over any possible bill. I don’t think the GOP is serious anyway.
A background check bill?
Maybe, still too early to tell.
A large-capacity ammunition bill
No. The GOP, and morons like Manchin, will filibuster
A tax-reform bill?
No. Why would the GOP cooperate even if “reform” is more give-aways to the rich and corporations?
A bill that raises revenue?
No. Again, the GOP will not cooperate.
What else?
For the sake of people like Bill Clinton, I hope Grimes does beat The Turtle. Otherwise, what was the point of chasing Ashley Judd out of the race?

Personally I don’t think they’ll make it past tomorrow night. But I’m not exactly an objective observer.
care to make a friendly wager?
What did you have in mind?
Loser sends Booman $50.00 dollar donation
Make it $25 and you’ve got yourself a deal!
Deal…Loser sends Booman $25.00
Guess I’m the loser..ooh the shame…

But, whatever, GO BLUE!!
What a game that was. Whew!

Only if Kennedy can’t be persuaded that the issue of standing precludes a decision at this time.

Large cap is pointless anyways, so would be an AWB. The real money is in background checks and closing the gun show loop hole.
I predict that after her skim milk marriage remark, Justice Ginsburg finds work writing for David Letterman.
I predict that Barack Obama will not negotiate a peace settlement between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
That jerk.
FL Gulf Coast.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Elena Kagan becomes Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
All predictions eventual – the near present is always doubtful.
Love underdogs, but sadly, in this case, it will be Michigan.
You ask:
Here is a really important set of questions.
In 4 parts:
1-Will The U.S. take part…covertly or not so covertly…in a war w/Iran? If so…when?
2-Will The U.S. take part…or be forced to take part and/or make it look like it has been forced to take part…in a war w/North Korea? Again…if so, when?
3-Both of the above.
4-Neither of the above.
Inquiring minds want to know.
AG
Everyone, and yes to all of the above. The only real question is when.
