I’d add something to that but really what would be the point?

That is all.
If only we lived in a world in which she would have a realistic chance of being our next President.
Thanks for posting it, Steven.
Either Renee Ellmers will be primaried or there’s a pickup opportunity for a Democrat. And no, not a rerun of Bob Etheridge. New blood please.
Yes, that is OT.
Love that woman.
I just wish she would quit bashing “anarchy.” Anarchy, at least the most prominent form, is about mutual aid. These men (and, occasionally, women) are nihilists, and selfish assholes to boot. Know the difference.
Does anyone know if Boehner is missing a toe?
“When I hear the latest tirades from the extremists in the House, I’m struck by how vague their complaints are.” She’s exactly right about that- besides Obamacare, the chief reason we went to shutdown is that the House can’t go to conference committee to pass a non-CR budget because that would force them to name their specific cuts, which would be HORRENDOUSLY unpopular. This is why the GOP has to Govern By Crisis right now.
It’s one thing to scream mindlessly “GOVERNMENT IS TOO BIG,” but when you detail for low- and middle-class people that you think government needs to be cut by slashing government programs that help them, and programs that benefit the rich need to be maintained, you’re on your way to getting ousted from office in non-crazy Congressional Districts.
Then the Senator starts laying out her bill of particulars. “The boogey man is not real…Government is the word we use to describe the things that We The People have already decided to do together.” Really well-crafted language.
