Jordan Has A Benghazi, In Tripoli

Let’s see if Darrell Issa and the Republican base take an obsessive interest in this:

Gunmen have kidnapped the Jordanian ambassador in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.

Libyan foreign ministry officials say assailants in two cars opened fire on the convoy carrying Ambassador Fawaz al-Etan Tuesday morning as it traveled through the city center near the Jordanian embassy.

His driver was wounded in the attack.

Libya’s foreign ministry spokesman Said al-Aswad said authorities are closely following the case and working to ensure the safety of the ambassador.

Will everyone insist on knowing whether or not al-Qaeda is responsible? Why wasn’t Jordan able to predict that this would happen? Did protests precede the attack? Why didn’t the military respond sooner? Were the initial reports in some respects inaccurate? Who prepared those talking points?

TRIPOLI!!
