Speaking of stupid, Speaker Boehner’s announcement that he plans to sue the president is so stupid that I haven’t even felt the need to comment on it. If this keeps up, we can change the name of the Democratic Party to the Point & Laugh Party.

Without the fund raising from the ‘repeal the ACA’ and with no real policies, the anti Obama habit will now morph their stupid into yet again another empty promise.
Boehner jumps the shark.
Yup, he ain’t got nothing, but that’s what he’ll fund raise off. They’re the victims you know.
We have two parties:
1. The GOP,
and,
2. The ROTFLMAO Party!
I would think that the Republicans would be the Point & Laugh Party, but maybe it depends on whether “Point & Laugh Party” is the party doing the pointing and laughing, or if it’s the parting being laughed at.
This feels like the “nauseous” discussion all over again. 🙂
Boehner is twisting himself like a pretzel to appease the Nagging Teabaggers. And speaking of pretzels, George W had 291 uses of Executive Orders, compared to Obama’s 168.
So Boehner hasn’t a leg to stand on, and if he’s suggesting Obama isn’t getting enough done as President, then he can take a look at his own pathetic party as the main reason for that.
Before laughing at Jonah Goldberg, again:
it’s not different from what almost all the Iraq war supporters say today but not quite so blatantly. That “the pro-war team had the better arguments” shouldn’t even be subject to debate since before the war, it wasn’t difficult to poke giant holes in much of what they presented as facts in support of their argument. Superior arguments don’t require lies. Sen Robert Byrd deftly slaughtered their argument without even engaging in a debate about those “facts.”
He’s so worried about the Constitution, he should try reading it:
“He’s just mean,” House Speaker John Boehner (Ohio) said Wednesday, confirming his plans to go tell Mom. “It’s not our fault he won’t give us everything we want.”
The Repubs will of course continue to use the extreme rightwing judiciary they so assiduously created. This strategy is presumably building upon the pocket veto decision which the Supreme Court will be handing down one of these days, if it hasn’t done so already today. I guess Boner figures Roberts Repubs will smack Obama on that executive power, so let’s try another.
It does make me wonder if the Repubs really think they can ever elect another prez again, as they are attacking executive power pretty thoroughly here….
Borowitz Report:
Boehner Calls Obama’s Practice of Accomplishing Things Unconstitutional
WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)–Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio) said today that he plans to sue President Obama for violating the United States Constitution with what Boehner called “his outrageous practice of accomplishing things.”
Isn’t this special:
Plus open to giving the right customer a discount. Did he get to take his Star Trek command center with him? $600,000/month isn’t that much really, only 12X what MSNBC has been Chelsea Clinton for … [they’re still working on what her actual job is].
Justices rule for Congress in White House fight over recess appointments
A nine to zero decision. Does McConnell now join Boehner in suing the POTUS for something?
Too bad Senate Democrats didn’t appeal GWB’s Bolton appointment.
Fat Tony needs to keel over already! C’mon Fat Tony; stop screwing around.
