Okay, after a long, mostly relaxing weekend heavy with travel, I am back in my command post. I have many things to read and do, so for starters let me send you into the Wayback Machine. Last night’s episode of Masters of Sex was written around a 1958 Archie Moore fight with Yvon Durelle. Archie won that fight despite being knocked down four times, including three times in the first round. Here’s Archie getting knocked out by Cassius Clay.

Also, here’s something else special from the early 1960’s. Actually, it’s a 1975 interview (pdf) with 1954 Guatemalan coup participant and Bay of Pigs mastermind Jake Esterline that was conducted in the Virgin Islands by CIA historian Jack B. Pfeiffer. It’s a gem of a find, and it’s as interesting for things that can’t be believed as for the things that can, as you watch these two heavily-biased and canny men circle each other for hours while both being on the side of the CIA.
