It’s hard to say if it was more offensive to put up a billboard of Martin Luther King Jr. hugging Usama bin-Laden on the anniversary of King’s birthday than it was to put up a billboard with a giant set of testicles that asks if anyone in Congress has the balls to impeach President Barack Obama. What’s clear, however, is some people have no filter.
In Cleveland, no less.
They really oought to post a picture of a brain, something they have even fewer of.
Who is the intended audience at that location?
What is the intended purpose of the message?
How many eyeballs would this have registered if not for the online hyping?
Obviously the GOP delegates at their convention in 2016…
Good questions, but it looks like this is less a strategic billboard, and more the latest in a decades-long succession of equally provocative, offensive, racist, white supremacist, and libertarian political messages put up by Nancy Sysack, owner of Harry X. Sysack Sign Company.
The fact that the company is still in business after all these years suggests that—sadly but not surprisingly—there’s a market for companies like this. Even in Cleveland.
