Iraq A Mess, Now National Guard Send to Ferguson

It’s not about one incident of a police shooting of Michael Brown, it has become a national discussion about equality, being treated fairly by authorities and THE WORLD IS WATCHING once again.

Missouri governor sends National Guard to Ferguson

FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) Moments ago — Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon has ordered the National Guard to Ferguson to help restore order to the St. Louis suburb after a week of sometimes-violent protests over the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black teenager.

Nixon made the announcement in statement issued early Monday after another night of clashes between police and protesters in Ferguson. Officers used tear gas to clear demonstrators off the streets late Sunday.

Demonstrations of support seen across America and even in some cities across the globe. The Occupy Movement was a signal, this could be much bigger and it’s up to leadership in Washington if they are prepared to lead the discourse. The U.S. has strayed off from the universal principles of law, how will it deal with this tragedy as it evolves.

Electing the first African American President and first black Attorney General is not a gratifier, not even an indication the United States is progressing on civil rights, equality of women and basic human rights. People left behind has increased due to the financial crisis of Wall Street and the fraudulent practises of banks and mortgage lenders. The people of the U.S. are hurt and it’s about time their anger is vented.

Best option of the leadership: MORE OPPRESSION. It’s time to start substantial dialogue!

See my previous diary about the city of St. Louis, called the city of Jim Crow, negative industrial development from a prosperous city on the mighty Mississippi to a municipality spiraling downwards with all the accompanying issues. A slower process than what is now seen in Detroit.

Michael Brown death: preliminary findings autopsy report

(CNN) Aug. 18, 2014 – Last week, the St. Louis County police department said an original autopsy found that Brown, 18, died of gunshot wounds. But the department wouldn’t say how many times he was shot or any other details.

According to the preliminary results of the family autopsy, the bullets that struck #MikeBrown were not fired from close range, as indicated by the absence of gunpowder residue on his body. One of the bullets shattered his right eye, traveled through his face, exited his jaw and re-entered his collarbone, according to the autopsy.

The last two shots were likely the ones to his head, attorney Gray said. One entered the top of his Brown’s skull, suggesting his head was bent forward when he was struck.

The independent autopsy was conducted by high-profile pathologist Michael Baden. Baden testified in the O.J. Simpson, Phil Spector and Drew Peterson murder trials.

The Right Sektor in Ukraine were formed into the National Guard, got training, weapons and sent to the East Front to fight them communist sympathisers wanting to speak Russian and form their own governemnt.

Wait, is the Justice Department of the new junta in Kiev investigating criminal acts of our members? We’ll give them a 48 hours deadline to reverse that decision [EN: translation] or we’ll abandon the war against separatists and march on Kiev and the Interior Ministry. Kiev also needs to release our members who have been in prison. Democracy?

Pastors: Man claiming to be peacekeeper actually escalating things in Ferguson

(KMOV) – Pastors are pointing the finger at Malik Shabazz, the former leader of the New Black Panther Party, and many church leaders want him to leave Ferguson. Robinson said Shabazz is an attorney from Washington D.C. who is causing problems.

“I literally watched him cause chaos within a large group of people and prepare to send them to the front line, then he shifts and says `let’s keep the peace.’ We’re calling him out. We want him out of our city, we don’t need his help at all, and he’s doing nothing but cause chaos.”

According to the Anti-Defamation League, Shabazz is trying to recast himself as a serious civil rights leader that inserts himself in high profile, racially charged situations. The Southern Poverty Law Center says Shabazz is skilled at organizing provocative protests.

Local church leaders say they are going to keep a close eye on Shabazz Tuesday night as they try to keep the peace on the streets of Ferguson.

Shabazz did not respond to News 4’s request for a comment.

Officer who threatened to kill protester in Ferguson suspended

ST. ANN (KMOV) ̶ Police announced an officer who was caught on camera threatening to kill a protester Tuesday night has been suspended.

The officer, who works for the St. Ann Police Department, was suspended after a YouTube video surfaced of the officer using foul language while threatening to kill someone if they did not follow his command.

St. Ann Police Chief Aaron Jimenez said the officer raised his gun after he saw a weapon in the crowd. After realizing it was only a BB gun, Jiminez said the officer then scanned the crowd with his AR-22 rifle raised, which Jiminez said is a standard procedure.
