I hope you’ll spend some time reflecting on what human rights look like, and what they don’t look like.
Also, this person gets to teach at a college. And this person wants you to remember “we’re all still Americans”:
The list told you that our post-9/11 fears led us to tolerate some terribly aberrant, dishonest and illegal behaviors that needed to be fully exposed, because big lies being tolerated lead to little lies being tolerated lead to institutions and trust being eroded from the inside.
No one but no one knows Big Lies like Tommy Friedman, who has a column and you don’t, so suck on this.
