How sad is this? It’s Friday night. We have a babysitter. We can do whatever we want for a few hours. And I’m so exhausted that I mainly just want to climb in bed and sleep for 20 hours.
The holidays and birthday celebrations have gone well and been a lot of fun. But I can’t ever remember being this tired.
I think the first time the kids went to granny for a sleepover we went to bed at 9pm and slept for twelve hours.
You’ve already had one health scare this year. Your body is telling you what it needs. Listen to it, sack out, and recharge what sound like severely depleted batteries.
what she said! sleep is good!
Booman, Best to get some rest and not feel bad about it. The flu is bad this season. Some people are getting pneumonia with it.
Went to bed at 7:15PM New year’s Eve. Sort of catnapped until 11:15. Stayed up for our celebration until 12:15. Went to bed and got up at 4:00AM to go to work. Drove like a zombie. Replaced a power roller on a flat sorting machine. Should have taken about 40 minutes. Took two and a half hours. Still tired today. Doctor’s right. I am too old for manual labor. Going to cash in my chips on the 30th. Then my income will be at the mercy of the US Congress and the stock market (both wholly owned subsidiaries of Goldman-Sachs).
It has been an exhausting week. Go for the sleep.
do what your body says…
get in the bed.
It looks like we’ve got four Democrats running for President in 2016. Bernie Sanders. Hillary Clinton. Martin O’Malley. And Elizabeth Warren. Who’s going to go first?
None of them have fired a salvo yet. None of them look very interested in leading. Wide open field starting now, but they’re all shy. Why? Why so timid? This time isn’t so different from 1932 when Roosevelt was elected. It was near the end of a financial crisis that folks were tired of. Obama’s not so different from Hoover really, in that he presided during a period when the middle class’s wealth was stolen from them by the rich, and the poor have been made to eat dirt. So when will any of them step up to start to tell us what they think we need to do together to restore the thousands and thousands of dollars we’ve all lost over the past fifteen years since Bush stole the presidency? When?
I’m exhausted, too. I’ve been working may ass off to feed the coffers of the super-rich since 2001 and I want to know what Democratic candidates are going to do to get me my money back. And when.
Who’s going to go first? Clinton? O’Malley? Sanders? Warren? Extra credit for whoever goes first.
warren isn’t running
Well, FDR was elected in the depth of the Depression, not during the recovery.
I started to check historical panics and depressions, expecting to see a more leftist government elected in the aftermath, but the Great Depression is almost unique in that regard. More often, the country turns Right. Depressing isn’t it?
Boo, had your ticker checked out?? Oh yeah, Happy and healthy 2015 to you and yours!!!
I sm having a similar experience this year.
It is also possible that you may have a debilitating disease. If this has been going on for some time, consider seeing a doctor. I am over 60 and get tired, but do not ever feel so tired that I cannot move. Your health issue (which I know nothing about) may not be over. Don’t disregard symptoms like this.
