   Topping off his rage of stupidity he screams at police, ‘just shoot me, I have nothing to live for’ while his son (who could easily have become an orphan at that declaration) was asleep alone at the family home. 2014, a year that will hopefully take away with it the narcissistic whackos.

   Stuff like this happens all the time, always has and always will. It’s called tragedy. The guy obviously lost it.

   Too easy to cluck and point the finger.

   My skeptical nature leads me to think that there is probably a lot more back-story here than the headline suggests.  There almost always is.  I would venture a guess that all was not well in the Resto home long before this tragic event.

   The couple had married at St. Mary Catholic church in Waltham just two years earlier.

   According to the statement of probable cause filed in Waltham District Court, Julio Resto had bouts of instability, including an attempted suicide in 2008, when a previous marriage was falling apart and a friend had died. The statement also said that more recently, Gloria Resto wanted her husband out of their home.

   On Dec. 26, Gloria Resto spent the night with a friend and avoided her husband, despite his numerous attempts to talk to her. On Dec. 30, she sent him a text message telling him he needed to move out of their home …

   On Tuesday evening, Gloria Resto came back home and ignored her husband’s attempts to talk to her, the statement said. She went to sleep in a son’s room, while Resto watched a basketball game. At 3 a.m., he went into the room to lie next to her, but she pushed him away.
