The question now remains, how big? Some exit polls had projected a possible outright majority for the left-leaning populist party in today’s snap election in Greece. However, that had always seemed like a bit of a stretch. Still, it does look Syriza will come close. Hopefully some of our European members of the Frog Pond can share some insights into what might happen next. At bare minimum, this would appear to be a shot in the arm for anti-austerity parties and movements throughout Europe.
