When was the last time that the Speaker of the House was 100% sober? I haven’t had a drop of ethanol in five months, but I also never had to sit through a State of the Union speech.

But at least she wasn’t the color of certain citrus fruit.
I doubt the current Speaker of the House has been sober since he was 13 yrs old. Which brings us to a good point. The TP/GOP are pushing for welfare recipients to be drug tested. I say that all members of Congress should be drug tested and pass a breath test for alcohol before a session of Congress into session. It is their jobs and I have worked jobs where I was tested. If they fail they go home and are docked pay accordingly.
She observed protocol, unlike some members of Congress.

Boehner couldn’t carry Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s water bottle. She has class, style, brains, and a deep and loyal dedication to the law.
She may be a tiny little thing, but she towers over the likes of Boehner, Mr Orange Lush.
I’d say being not sober is a job requirement. Could you imagine doing it sober? Not me.
