This is roughly what happened with Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina when he recently tried to criticize Donald Trump.
An East Texas man was hospitalized early Thursday morning after a bullet he fired at an armadillo ricocheted back at his head, KLTV reported.
The army should forget about buying body armor for our troops and just have them carry an armadillo into battle.
The debates promise to be entertaining. (No armadillos will be injured in the filming of this event.)
This debate may be shaping up to be a reality TV hostage situation, “Nice little political party you have here…”
What are they going to do it Trump doesn’t spontaneously combust? Faltering, Bush is looking pretty vulnerable in third place; this was not part of his plan. Rand is fatally wounded and out; Walker stands in everybody’s way and is both Trump’s and Jeb’s next likely target. Everyone else is an also-ran while Trump winds up the tub-thumpers to new levels of populist outrage at their own party leadership. And has established and retains impressive momentum just as many likely primary voters become engaged.
Whatever the outcome of the Trump phenomenon the damage is mostly done. This is a GOP catastrophe of epic proportions. Who can win this nomination and the general?
Bush, when asked if he harboured qualms about going head-to-head with Trump or any other Republican candidates at the forthcoming debate:
If I were on his staff I would be considering flinging myself into Lake Jackson.
Bush ‘s media events, town halls whatever are mostly characterized by his enormous errors, saying what he really thinks (ppl should work more hours – except for him – and the like)
I’m beginning to wonder if his strategists are counting on opponents meeting with unexpected political ‘accidents’ while the candidate plods distractedly toward the nomination.
Nah, they’ll just call Rove back in to do show them again how to do the dirty tricks.
But their candidate remains apparently gaffe-prone and charisma-free in either case.
W does have more charm, in a neighborhood drunk sort of way, sort of like Gomer Pyle on the old Andy Griffith show, while Jeb! is more like Barney Fife, an annoying idiot, rather than an amusing idiot.
started wondering about that too.
he’s got a prim and sneering quality to him like rMoney also, very unpleasant.
It’s what I refer to as the “over-valued child syndrome.” Somewhat rare to encounter among people that didn’t grow up in privileged circumstances. Privilege insulates one from encountering the normal slings and arrows that most people have to learn how to negotiate and figures into maturity.
Clearly, what this country needs is more guns! And more idiots!
We have too many of both! The combo of an idiot and a gun is fatal.
> The combo of an idiot and a gun is fatal.
unfortunately, very often to someone else
Better than the so-called hillbilly armor.
Can you believe that there are drivers in Texas who drive anything lighter than a semi and think that they don’t have to swerve out of the way of an armadillo on the road? I’ve seen it with my own eyes and felt it with my own ass; it makes as much sense as going over 60 mph on a speed bump.
Maybe stories like this will prevent crap like I described from happening in the future.
Grassroots in the Hamptons
(Wonder how much Sanders charges for a photo with him.)
started reading and assumed it was a Bush event. I guess it sort of is
Well when you’re Tory Burch and worth a billion dollars, I imagine your friends have $27,000 falling out of their pockets.
But not really funny:
That is eerily unsettling.
The Guardian: ‘Have you no decency, sir?’: Vidal v Buckley and the art of killer comebacks
(Tried but could only get through the first five minutes of the Letterman-O’Reilly clips.)
Otherwise all good stuff, but the Cavett-Flanner-Vidal-Mailer clip is late night TV at its finest.
Is Huck dumber than the fundies he courts?
What’s incredible to me is that not only do fetuses have more rights than women to these people, but fetuses have more rights than children.
Even legal persons cannot force other persons to donate their body to stay alive. In fact, there’s even legal precedent where someone tried to force a relative to make an organ donation so they didn’t die.
My question is, why should the fetus have rights that no one else — not even a born child gets?
Oh, right, women aren’t people.
You forget that he is an ordained minister, i.e. a professional liar with no conscience at all.
Gosh and I was of late beginning to think the law of natural selection had been somehow repealed.
nice.
