I noticed this:
There are a couple of quasi-Trumpers at National Review, but by and large they are embarrassed by him, which they naturally express with belligerent stupidity. (Here for example is Kevin D. Williamson, in a column called “National Fronts,” tying the rightist-racist parties of Europe to Trump — and Bernie Sanders, because National Socialist get it; plus, Sanders is racist against Mexicans because he complained the Koch Brothers want “all kinds of people” to “work for $2 and $3” — which is the kind of stretch that, had it been employed by a black person as evidence of racism, would have spurred a National Review special double issue.)
But I didn’t say anything.
Hmm.
From the official Bernie Sanders site, Bernie would:
Conspicuous by their absence are deportations, walls and anchor babies. Not quite the same as the Trump proposals it would seem.
are they trying to cut into T’s support with that comment?
Booman, I wish you would… say something about the GOP and how it has dealt with and will deal with the issue of Mr. Trump.
Somewhat relatedly, I’ve been a bit disappointed that other journalists haven’t come our more strongly in support of Univision journalist, Jorge Ramos. Rachel did a good thing tonight by linking back to recent Presidents and their relationship with the Press.
Most interesting was the post Saturday Night Massacre Nixon Press Conference and the totally not remembered by me Robert Pierpont interaction with the President. Sorta unbelievable, as well as the young Dan Rather, a far more appealing reporter back in the 60’s and early 70’s than in his current appearances on her show. He seems to take great pains to come across as objective particularly with respect to Roger Ailes and Fox News. He seems to me to be tiptoing across a field of glass, for fear he’s gonna offend the corporate masters? What corporate masters does he have these days?
Personally, I say good for Ramos, Joe and Mika’s opinions about his lack of respectful deference to the presidential candidate notwithstanding.
The article is actually a major complement to Sen Bernie Sanders. Yes it is nothing but standard GOP propaganda. The hidden meaning behind it is the GOP are very scared of Sen Bernie Sanders for they can not find anything to stop him let alone slow him down.
