Gov’t finds victory in defeat on Iran, says official | Ynet News |
The Israeli government was not surprised by US President Barack Obama’s success in reaching a veto-threshold Congressional majority in support of the Iran nuclear deal, according to a high-ranking official – but it doesn’t necessarily see it as a failure.
An associate of the prime minister said the strategy in the campaign against the agreement was to undermine its legitimacy, in which Israel succeeded with flying colors.
“When the agreement was unveiled, half of Americans supported it and half opposed it,” said the source. “Therefore, it’s wrong to present this as an Israeli failure. To the contrary, it’s a success. Obama is making an illegitimate international agreement thanks to a veto and not thanks to a majority.
“Congress will oppose the agreement and this means the American people will say ‘no’ to this agreement,” continued the official. “Israel had to shout against the agreement because if he had accepted it – then it’s certainly possible there would have been a majority in Congress in support of the agreement. If you are not willing to commit suicide in opposition to the agreement – what are the odds that a Democratic senator will commit suicide in opposition to Obama for Israel? Israel sent an important message to the world here.”
PM Netanyahu of Israel tweets zero-tolerance for Palestinian children throwing stones (w or w/o David’s sling) and the Iranian ayatollahs producing a six-shooter of atomic bombs.
Yet, his people won’t tolerate Christian churches within the Jewish State of Israel – Jewish supremacist: burning churches legitimate under Jewish law.
The panel, which included prominent rabbis and political figures and was led by Rabbi Abba Turetsky, featured a heated debate surrounding the status of Christian churches in Israel that were labeled “houses of idolatry.” Gopstein, a radical right-wing activist, was asked,”Do you support burning churches in Israel, yes or no?” by Benny Rabinowitz, a writer for the ultra-Orhtodox daily newspaper Yated Ne’eman, who attended the event. Benzti Gopstein replied, citing a Maimonides ruling that churches should be burned. “Are you for Maimonides or against him?” he asked, rhetorically.
Gopstein’s answer shocked the attendees, including Rabbi Moshe Klein, who is the Rabbi for the Hadassah Medical Center, and deputy mayor of the city of Elad, Tzuriel Krispel, who immediately and vigorously expressed opposition to his remarks. “Benzti are you for burning or not?” Rabbi Turetsky asked. “Of course I am,” Bentzi can be heard saying in the recording. “It’s Maimonides. Simply yes, what is there to question?“
Gopstein later denied the reports, and stated that he was merely quoting Maimonides as a part of a Halachic (Jewish law) debate.

According to Haaretz, police had granted a permit to 30 right-wing activists, including far-right leader Benzi Gopstein — who heads the anti-miscegenation group, Lehava — to protest the event not far from the march.

The optimism after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the leadership of presidents Reagan and Gorbachov – wtf has happened in between during the Clinton administration when peace in the Middle East failed? Hillary Clinton does not offer any hope for a policy to solve the Israeli – Palestinian stand-off. One Israeli Zionist who played an important role was deputy PM Binyamin Netanyahu … he scuttled any progress to come to a negotiated settlement for a Palestinian State.

The legitimacy of the Iran agreement depends only on the certifications of the IAEA and the relaxation of sanctions by the other parties.
The legitimacy of the Israeli government however is another matter.
But Israel is really enlisting the brigades of Christian Zionists through people like Birgitte Gabriel, (a.k.a. Nour Semaan, Brigitte Tudor), born October 21, 1964, is a conservative American journalist, author, political lecturer, anti-Islamic extremism activist,[1][3] and founder of two non-profit political organizations, the American Congress For Truth and ACT! for America.
Another key figure is John Hagee, of Christians United for Israel.
These folks have penetrated pentecostal and evangelical congregations that are captured by prophecy theology.
They actually see the destruction of Israel as a prelude to end times, but some Jewish organizations, including B’nai B’rith of San Antonio TX (Hagee’s base) have allied with these Christian congregations in support of the state of Israel.
And part of their line is the denial of the existence of the Palestinian people. If you don’t hear the echoes of the 1930s in this, you haven’t recently read your William L. Shirer.
