Trying to beat back a cold, but I’ve gotta fertilize the fruit tress, prune the grape vine, then dig out the compost heap and spread it on the vegetable garden to get ready of spring tomatoes in a month or so.
Of course, it almost goes without saying that I’ll also be keeping close track of the primaries, and checking in to the frog pond to read the commentary.
In my way to celebrate a co-worker’s last day. Management have been uber assholes since the WaPo scrutiny (lies) and the congressional grilling. He’s had enough.
Playing Saturday night in midtown NYC w/quite possibly the greatest Afro-Cuban/Nuyorican big band to ever exist, The Mambo Legends. One of the 3 or 4 greatest, for sure!!!
Got a couple of public events to go to for my political work. That, spend time with my wife, enjoy my newly carpeted and tidied home, watch a couple of movies on my DVR library. Maybe this one:
It’s gone somewhat unnoticed; I think it’s an underrated gem. A couple of scenes have remained favorites of my wife and I for all these years. Most importantly, given the subject matter, it gets the ending so delightfully right. You ever been watching a movie scene and thought, “oh, if only the movie were smart enough to end here” and it does? The nicest of surprises.
I’m moving – again! Moved from Pasadena, CA to Whitebread, OR (Sherwood) a year ago. Now moving 1/8 of a mile away – easier move – but lower back is feeling it.
Spent the last ten days in Edmonton, Alberta with two rug hooking workshops. I am mortified by how the US looks during these primaries. Canadians believe, and with good reason, that we are complete and utter idiots.
I have tried to explain that the media is running amok and not everything they see is real, but had to admit that yeah, Trump is actually leading the polls and yeah, we have a lot of guns here.

Just thinking of ‘War’ in light of Trump’s clash with the Pope and now today his call for war against Apple. Trump is the War candidate.
Was going to start shoveling snow, there’s still 3 feet outside, but now it’s snowing again so I may have to go to plan B for the weekend.

Then probably a party in DC tomorrow.
It’s windy as hell here, bunch of buildings in the Loop have closed due to high winds
Could Cruz come in third to ‘a bag of feathers’ in SC?
Breaking away from Trump; here’s the last Marist showing Trump with modest 5% edge on Cruz, down 8% from January.
Doing various things in the house and helping the kids. Highlight will be reading any posts of Booman.

Wish I could make it.
I can’t get up there this weekend, though.
One of these days…

Trimming the trees in the alley before I get cited.
Going to watch a 3rd cousin play music in town.
I will probably be waiting around for the washing machine repair person.
