Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be continuing with the painting of the 1940 Plymouth. I am using the photo seen directly below. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on an 8×10 inch canvas.
When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
I began at the bottom by painting in the grass and shadow. I started this way simply because it provides a nice defining base for the things to come. I then proceeded to paint the outlines of the 3 cars. Finally, I painted some blue sky.
The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.
I’ll have a new painting to show you next week. See you then.
Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here.
Paint me a picture of your thoughts.
Post your cafe chats here.
Hello everybody! Its awfully dusty here in the old cafe <cough, cough>. I missed this until now since it was my youngest son’s birthday yesterday and was busy trying to catch up with him – plus it was 70+ F and sunny here and the temptation to just be outside was great.
Happy belated birthday to your son. We’ve been basking in some warmth here as well. Should be “cold” (i.e., just above average for our area) for most of this week. The joys of El Nino and climate change.
What a great idea, boran2.
Why not call it Cafe Des Artistes in hopes of maybe Andi & Olivia & Knucklehead & others becoming tempted to show off a bit.
That would be great. Gotta get some our long timers back.
Do that and I might be tempted to post some photos again.
Please do.
