Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be continuing with the painting of the Second Empire Victorian. I am using the photo seen directly below. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 6×6 inch canvas.
When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
For this week’s cycle, I’ve focused most of my efforts on the shaded portions of the house. I’ve now completed all those nice details that make a Victorian so interesting. The porch now frames the front door and window. The railing extends down the steps and to the ground. All other windows on that side have been painted in a similar fashion as well as the various overhangs. Finally, the roof has been given another layer of paint.
The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.
I’ll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here.
The cafe is open. What is on the agenda for your weekend?
Hi boran2! I’m having a leisurely day today before diving into the county 4-H Fair tomorrow. Its a big event for state and local candidates as an opportunity to meet and greet. This election we have a candidate for state rep on our side for the first time in nearly 20 years and I’m pretty excited about that.
very good to hear.
I like this guy a lot. He’s been serving as a county chair (not my county) and just recently resigned to put all his effort into the campaign. Its a tough district for Dems, but its an open seat this time, so fingers crossed.
Today what amounts to a family reunion. Got a little bit of traveling to do. Family reunions are becoming fewer and further between, so we take advantage when we can.
Got to bring home leftovers after the reunion. We had a ton of food. So, no cooking tonight – just chowing down. I’ll have to compare notes with Family Man to find out how my slacking skills are developing.
Ah, Family Man – the Slacker’s Slacker.
indoors, work, has been the story for the past month, will be for the next month [well, xaggerate a little]
Stone work on my remodel.
Stone walls are done.

For me it’s errands and stuff that I brought home from work. Sigh.
