It shows how little I watch Fox News that I thought that Greta Van Susteren was the moderate one over there. I had no idea she was such an embarrassment and flack for Trump.
Maybe she’ll be Trump’s first hire at his new alt-right cable news channel.
Makes sense. Trump is the closest living thing we have that compares to L. Ron Hubbard.
I think Hubbard was a lot smarter.
Guilt by association? Nah, Van Susteren has a genuine Joe McCarthy pedigree, so sayeth the Wiki:
Van Susteren (Dutch for “from Susteren”) was born in Appleton, Wisconsin. Her father, Urban Van Susteren, was of Dutch descent.[4][5] Her mother, born Margery (Conway), was a homemaker of Irish descent.[6][7] Van Susteren’s father was a longtime friend of future U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy; McCarthy was best man at Greta Van Susteren’s parents’ wedding.[8] Urban Van Susteren, an elected judge, served as a campaign strategist for McCarthy, although Urban later broke with him.[9]
OTOH, Liberal Stephanie Miller’s father was Goldwater’s running mate.
I hope he hires the entire Fox staff. We know how successful his businesses are and how well he treats his employees…
Speaking of Fox News, I heard this on the radio yesterday:

My barber had Fox Business on yesterday. I don’t have cable, never watch cable news now, but I was “surprised to be surprised” at how nakedly their anchor or whatever was teeing up guests to insult and demean Obama and Clinton. It was just one barely coherent, fact-free diatribe after another.
As I slowly tuned this out, I reflected that well, it’s entertainment for a certain audience, but what miserable entertainment it is.
It’s not even offensive to me now. It’s just kind of curious in the way certain kinds of psychological dysfunction are fascinating. This isn’t a conservative bubble anymore. It’s a padded room within a Maginot bastion within a bubble. The impression I get is of an audience so psychologically feeble and helpless that they can only tolerate absolutely homogeneous 24/7 validation of their world-view.
“Maybe she’ll be Trump’s first hire at his new alt-right cable news channel.”
Bingo. It’s all anyone at Fox is doing — dividing up into the, uh, Leavers and the Stayers, let’s say….
