Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be continuing with the Cold Spring, NY scene. The photo that I’m using is seen directly below. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 5×7 inch canvas.
When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
There are a number of changes for this week’s cycle, all centered on the house. Up on top, the roof has emerged from shadow to become a nice brown color. It was only after a careful review of the photo that I saw the need for this change. Coming down a bit, I’ve painted the shadow line around the windows. This will change a bit before I’m done. Out in front I’ve added the front steps and railing as well as the understructure of the porch.
