Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be starting a new painting. It is a scene in Cape May, New Jersey. I’ve actually been interested in the house at the center for some time. The time to paint it has finally come. The photo that I’m using is seen directly below. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 5×7 inch canvas.
I started with a pencil grid on both a print of the photo and the canvas. In this way I was able to transfer the elements to the canvas in an accurate pencil sketch. I am pleased with it so far. Things are off to a good start.
The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.
I’ll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here.
Open it is.
A vegan, a bitcoin trader, and a person who voted for Sanders all walk into a bar. Who tells you about it first?
.
No idea but I would caution the bartender against taking payment in bitcoin.
If health permits, I’ll try to post up another foto flog this Friday. Serious upper respiratory infections are no picnic, to say the least – they’re sure hard to shake.
Also finally got an account set up at Progress Pond (thanks Booman!) and I may try cross-posting a bit there as well. Some of the site problems here I took as a bit of a wakeup call.
Feel better dude.
That’s the plan. May take a bit. My experience with bronchitis is I am usually in pretty bad shape for a while. I should get some rest this week. That should help.
Mrs. ID and I had something similar all through October. We finally got in to see the doctor when it didn’t go away with bed rest. Hers had progressed to pneumonia and it took some heavy duty injections of something for several days to get rid of it. Mine finally left after a round of antibiotic pills. Take care and feel better soon.
Thanks! I am on an inhaler now, along with some steroid pills and yet another antibiotic. Presumably this will do the trick. My spouse seems to be getting progressively better – been told it will take a few weeks truly recover. But pulse ox still looks good, etc. So keeping hope. It will be a much more low-key Christmas than planned, but we’ll just all be happy to be on the mend.
I just got the bill – she was getting a Ceftriaxone Sodium injection daily for 4 days. She’s predisposed to pneumonia, probably due to her lifelong asthma problems. We both feel pretty good now – hope it holds for the annual family circus this weekend. Glad to hear you’re doing better.
Thanks. Glad you all are doing better. My spouse has my insurance as primary and Medicare A for secondary – between those, a lot gets taken care of. My guess is that between deductible and out of pocket maximum, we’ll have some grumbles for a little bit, but far from catastrophic. Will have a clearer picture on that some time early next year – about the time I finish paying off the remains of the hip replacement from last year.
