How the pro-Israel newspaper The New York Times attempts too spoof the truth of the matter by linking the UAE with Putin’s Russia. The Emirates is closely knit to the Saudi Kingdom of King Salman and the Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman. The UAE and KSA are on opposing sides to Russia on Syria and Iran. Fools in New York!
Qatar is linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and the adventures of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton under the Barack Obama’s presidency in Libya, Egypt and Syria. Qatar played a leading role in transferring major arms and munitions shipments from Libya into Turkey and Northern Syria to support the rebellion against Bashar al Assad.
The two major regional powers fighting that dreadful war as proxies for the United States (indirectly Israel) and the West were the Salafist Gulf States of KSA with the UAE and the Muslim Brotherhood alliance of Erdogan’s Turkey and Qatar. After the overthrow of Mubarak in Egypt, this nation under Morsi joined Turkey and Qatar alliance. Saudi Arabia was quite unhappy. The infighting between these two regional factions prevented HRC and later John Kerry to build a unity in Syrian opposition to confront Assad and indirectly Putin’s Russia. The Geneva Conferences were all faced with utter failure. Of course blaming Russia in the meantime.

After the slaughter of years became more avengeful as a Civil War, the addition of the Sunni forces from Anbar province of Iraq (aka the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) was a foolish and criminal act by the Alliance of the West with the GCC and Turkey. Through diplomatic and military action by Lavrov and Putin has most of the fighting now ended in Syria. The final skirmishes are in the North and North-East between Turkey and the YPG Kurdisch fighters loyal to the U.S., the West, Israel and the PKK. The state of Iraq with its Shia majority is allied with Iran and the Hezbollah in Lebanon. The largest donor of Hamas in Gaza was once again Qatar.
Interesting to see the interview of Juan Cole on this issue on Al Jazeera. He is as lost as ever on the Arab Spring, or his loyalties and support (funding) lies with Qatar.
The UAE has an alliance with the State of Israel and a strong military alliance with the UK and US. See my earlier diaries on the corporations setting up headquarters in the Emirates to boost US influence and force close cooperation in the region in opposition to Iran in the end. Blackwater of Erik Prince – US former generals in employ of Sheik Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi, the most fortuned and powerful of the three emirate states. True, Dick Cheney’s Halliburton took up residence in the UAE to avoid the stringent US regulations and sanctions for doing business with the Islamic State of Iran. There is always an urgent need for the ENEMY figure to keep the war machine rolling and the empire strong.

An adviser to the United Arab Emirates with ties to current and former aides to President Trump is cooperating with the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, and gave testimony last week to a grand jury, according to two people familiar with the matter.
Mr. Mueller appears to be examining the influence of foreign money on Mr. Trump’s political activities and has asked witnesses about the possibility that the adviser, George Nader, funneled money from the Emirates to the president’s political efforts. It is illegal for foreign entities to contribute to campaigns or for Americans to knowingly accept foreign money for political races.
Mr. Nader, a Lebanese-American businessman who advises Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the effective ruler of the Emirates, also attended a January 2017 meeting in the Seychelles that Mr. Mueller’s investigators have examined. The meeting, convened by the crown prince, brought together a Russian investor close to President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia with Erik Prince, the founder of Blackwater and an informal adviser to Mr. Trump’s team during the presidential transition, according to three people familiar with the meeting.

Elliott Broidy: A history of bribery and pro-Israel advocacy
Elliott Broidy, a California-based venture capitalist who, according to his website, has worked to “strengthen nations” including the US, which he considers the “beloved country of his birth”, and Israel, his “spiritual home”.
But leaked emails show that Broidy, a Republican fundraiser, has also worked closely with George Nader, an adviser to the Abu Dhabi’s crown prince, to further the UAE’s influence in the White House, placing him in the sights of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into allegations of foreign countries attempting to influence the Trump administration.
While a successful and influential businessman, scandal and crime have dogged Broidy’s career.
Al Jazeera reviewed court documents, as well as lobbying disclosures, that shed light on his history of bribery and pro-Israel advocacy.
Shady deals
According to Broidy’s website he began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co, an accounting and business consulting firm that was effectively closed in the wake of the Enron scandal of the early 2000s.
Broidy was a cofounder and chairman of Markstone Capital Group, an Israeli private equity firm that raised more than $800m from US and Israeli investors that was meant for Israeli companies.
He also founded Markstone Capital Partners, the investment fund’s management company. The firm has faced financial difficulties, especially after it was forced to pay $18m in restitution fees after
Broidy pleaded guilty in 2009 to bribing New York officials with paid trips to Israel and other goods and favours that totalled roughly $1m.
These officials, who oversaw the state’s public pension fund, invested $250m with Markstone Capital Partners. The guilty plea reduced the charges to a single misdemeanour in exchange for Broidy’s cooperation with prosecutors in the case.
So once again all signs point to collusion between the Trump team, his son-in-law Jared Kushner and ISREAL of Bibi and Sara Netanyahu. The go-betweens are Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, especially the Crown Princes of both states. Their use of the Seychelles as a meeting place is not for a back-channel with Russian associates loyal to Putin, but loyal to Israel. Funny how the Syrian conflict and the time spend on a nuclear deal with Iran has led to the downfall of the Democrats in the presidential election of 2016. Don’t search where by chance the lighthouse is shining, look for the covert action in the darkest of corners of dirt and criminal acts. Yes, from New York – London – Kyiv – Moscow – Tel Aviv.
