[Cross-posted from European Tribune – where dissent is NOT troll rated!]

During the Clinton administration Al Qaeda grew into a menace for the Global Order by their terror attacks on the WTC in 1993, the twin bombing of U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998 and the attack on the USS Cole anchored with lowered defenses near Aden in Yemen. How the attacks of 9/11 has changed not only the face of the world by wars and millions of victims and a record number of refugees and displaced persons from North Africa, the Middle East and in the AfPak region. None of the imperial military campaign by the mightiest sword of America has done much good, much more evil has come from it. The effort after the Great War of 1939-1945 to maintain International Law and Human Rights has been undone. The latest move by the United States in regards to the United Nations must hve come from the playbook of John Bolton. Bolton is a monster not of Trump’s making but has roamed the fringes of the Republican Party until the fringe became mainstream in tte 21st American Century. Bolton played a role in the 2000 election fraud in Florida and counting the votes. America a state based on corporate fraud, deception and trillions of wealth stashed outside US territory to avoid paying a fair share of taxes which now places a burden on ordinary citizens. Capitalism trumps a decent wage for the working class who are doomed on health issues because a fair Heath Care is lacking. I am quite fortunate to be residing in Western Europe, a Social Democratic nation. The Third Way bull shit has shifted politics from the left to the right and the WOT did the rest.

Xenophobia and Islamophobia Roots of Today’s Triad of Evil

Continued below the fold …
See the history of all my writings since 2004 where I predicted Western “Civilization” was headed with the populist politicians carrying the platform based solely on Xenophobia and Islamophobia. A bond created in hell between the Jewish State of Israel and the Western European nations claiming their heredity and identity are based on Judeo-Christan values. Utter bs from politicians to make such a claim. Unfortunately that has become mainstream and reality in today’s world of artificial news and state propaganda. Wars by proxies, cyberwarfare and large tech corporations interfering in democracy and by extension in elections. See also my recent writings on State propaganda contracted to private organizations to influence public opinion on waging proxy war for regime change – see Libya, Syria and Yemen.

Will we at last see the great divide developing on our planet as the forces of evil are bound together and the rest of the nations are tired of the bullying and bribing to give political cover for international war crimes?

US drops out of UN Human Rights Council – Diplomatic Games too Costly

US pulls out of UN Human Rights Council, calling it `an exercise in shameless hypocrisy’ for letting China join and creating Israel scrutiny rule | SCMP |

The United States has pulled out of the United Nations Human Rights Council, with Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley calling it “a mockery of human rights” for allowing China – among other countries – to join, and for a rule that scrutinises Israel’s treatment of the Palestinian people.

“For too long, the Human Rights Council has been a protector of human rights abusers, and a cesspool of political bias,” Haley said on Tuesday at the State Department in Washington in a joint speech with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

She said the decision was an affirmation of US respect for human rights, a commitment that “does not allow us to remain a part of a hypocritical and self-serving organisation that makes a mockery of human rights”.

Her remarks came the day after the council lambasted the US for separating migrant families at its border with Mexico – timing that Haley refused to comment on.

Echoing Anti-Palestinian MK Lies, GOP Claims Children Separated From Parents at Border Are Neither Families, Nor Children | Tikun Olam |

The myriad ways in which the Israeli national security state oppresses Palestinians have seeped into American security and counter-terror practice. Everything from armed drones used in targeted assassinations to racial profiling at checkpoints and airports, to the militarization of police, to cyber-surveillance of social media discourse: each of these tactics was first developed by Israel and then transferred into standard American military and security procedure.

Apparently, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Ann Coulter have been following the Israeli playbook in light of the rising furor over ICE’s forced separation of immigrant families at the U.S. border.

Where did Nielsen learn these arts of magical thinking which can deny what she sees in front of her eyes? From the master, Bibi Netanyahu who she met in Israel only six days ago!

So there you have it: when faced with national outrage over treating children with advanced brutality, Republicans resort to the Israeli playbook: if you’re losing the public relations battle, say anything, the more outrageous the better, in order to divert attention from the real issue. And hey, don’t worry about insulting Palestinians or Mexicans. They’re neither Israeli nor American. They don’t count. No one will care anyway. You’ll get away with it.

If you’re pro-Israel be proud, be very proud. America takes only the best and Israel, you are the `best’ at what you do!

[Update-1] A Distraught and Lonely Nation of Racism

As I have written for so long, comes as no surprise to many …

U.S. Missing in Child Rights Convention

On Nov. 20th 2014, the whole world will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the world’s most universally ratified human rights treaty, the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). Sadly, the United States of America won’t be at the party or will simply be watching from the sidelines.

The U.S. remains the odd man – the odd country – out, accompanied only by Somalia and South Sudan in having failed to ratify this landmark instrument of international law.

The absence of Somalia and South Sudan is understandable as these are among the world’s most fragile, failed or failing states. But one would expect the U.S. which claims to be a great champion of human rights in the world to be at the front and centre of this celebration, not missing in action.

One hundred ninety-four nations – including all of America’s closest allies — have ratified the CRC. It baffles non-Americans, and even many Americans, as to why the U.S. is reluctant to ratify this Convention.

This example of negative “American exceptionalism” is illogical and perverse. The Convention upholds the very same principles that underpin American democracy. It says that all children, everywhere, have the same human rights to survive and thrive, to learn and contribute.

It obligates states that embrace it to do all that is humanly possible to ensure children’s wellbeing, dignity and protection. It is supportive of parents and respectful of cultures.

The U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child: After 25 Years, Should Americans Still Care?

The last 8 supporting nations on this planet … eight countries that voted against the resolution were the U.S., Israel, Australia, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Togo and the Solomon Islands.

United States gathered another BIG DEFEAT at the U.N. General Assembly vote on crimes against the Palestinian people

Columbia and Australia both play a role in the North Korea War Games, interesting combination of joint military exercises with the United States. Any surprise to read Ivan Duque, a conservative, “won” the run-off election in Columbia who vows to tear up the truce with FARC rebels. Smells a lot about a CIA operation in South America, a Kissinger redux.

Interesting the new role by Columbians in te United Arab Emirates under leadership of Trump crony Erik Prince … from The New York Times in 2011:

Secret Desert Force Set Up by Blackwater’s Founder

Late one night last November, a plane carrying dozens of Colombian men touched down in this glittering seaside capital. Whisked through customs by an Emirati intelligence officer, the group boarded an unmarked bus and drove roughly 20 miles to a windswept military complex in the desert sand.

The Colombians had entered the United Arab Emirates posing as construction workers. In fact, they were soldiers for a secret American-led mercenary army being built by Erik Prince, the billionaire founder of Blackwater Worldwide, with $529 million from the oil-soaked sheikdom.

Mr. Prince, who resettled here last year after his security business faced mounting legal problems in the United States, was hired by the crown prince of Abu Dhabi to put together an 800-member battalion of foreign troops for the U.A.E., according to former employees on the project, American officials and corporate documents obtained by The New York Times.

The force is intended to conduct special operations missions inside and outside the country, defend oil pipelines and skyscrapers from terrorist attacks and put down internal revolts, the documents show. Such troops could be deployed if the Emirates faced unrest in their crowded labor camps or were challenged by pro-democracy protests like those sweeping the Arab world this year.

The U.A.E.’s rulers, viewing their own military as inadequate, also hope that the troops could blunt the regional aggression of Iran, the country’s biggest foe, the former employees said. The training camp, located on a sprawling Emirati base called Zayed Military City, is hidden behind concrete walls laced with barbed wire. Photographs show rows of identical yellow temporary buildings, used for barracks and mess halls, and a motor pool, which houses Humvees and fuel trucks. The Colombians, along with South African and other foreign troops, are trained by retired American soldiers and veterans of the German and British special operations units and the French Foreign Legion, according to the former employees and American officials.

In outsourcing critical parts of their defense to mercenaries — the soldiers of choice for medieval kings, Italian Renaissance dukes and African dictators — the Emiratis have begun a new era in the boom in wartime contracting that began after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. And by relying on a force largely created by Americans, they have introduced a volatile element in an already combustible region where the United States is widely viewed with suspicion.

The United Arab Emirates — an autocracy with the sheen of a progressive, modern state — are closely allied with the United States, and American officials indicated that the battalion program had some support in Washington.

“The gulf countries, and the U.A.E. in particular, don’t have a lot of military experience. It would make sense if they looked outside their borders for help,” said one Obama administration official who knew of the operation. “They might want to show that they are not to be messed with.”

[Update-2] Keeping JDW up to date with the use of “Jewish” State of Israel by racist Netanyahu to the exclusion of its Arab Citizens … where to start?

An American translation of Netanyahu’s racist get out the vote speech | Mondoweiss – March 2015 |

In a video below Katie Halper “translated” Netanyahu’s racist emergency election appeal:

The Republican leadership is in danger.
Black voters are coming out in droves to the polls
Left wing organizations are busing them out.

Get out to vote, bring your friends and family, vote Republican in order
to close the gap between us and the Democrats.

With your help and the help of God,
We will build a nationalist government that will protect the United States of America.

We’re grateful to Halper for making Netanyahu’s screed more accessible to the American public. There’s something very eery about hearing the tone of his voice while reading those words.

At the end Halper asks “Can you imagine if an American politician said that?” There’s been an excess of commentary about the racist nature of the speech on social media with many wondering how it would fly in this country. Of course all hell would break out in the press if during a U.S. presidential campaign one of the leading candidates warned blacks, or Jews, were flooding to the polls funded by foreign interests and we should all go out and vote to counter them. It would be condemned (even if there is a history of doing just this). But the issue here is that Netanyahu did exactly this in 2015, and in a place like Israel it works. Why is that? And what does it say about the supposed shared values between Israel and the United States?

How predictable … same morals, same type of guy now in the White House … no need to be a prophet!

The Knesset officially declares that Israeli democracy is for Jews only | Mondoweiss – June 13, 2018 |

Together with the eight Members of Knesset of the Jewish Home, the Presidency could field 95 MKs out of 120 to vote the bill down. And yet, it was considered too dangerous to debate.

Just what was so problematic in the bill? The Knesset legal counsel, Eyal Yanon, said it clearly:

“[The bill] contains several articles which are meant to change the character of Israel from the national state of the Jewish People into a state which grants equal status, from the national point of view, to the Jewish nation and the Arab nation.”

That is, the very debate about the bill would have raised troubling questions, proving yet again that a Jewish state and a democratic one cannot co-exist. They’re a contradiction in terms.

… the Knesset and its homo sovieticus chairman, Yuli Edelstein, are busy promoting the Nationality Bill, which will delimit the space allowed Palestinian Israelis even more. The Knesset has made its choice; now let it live with it.

[Update-3] FYI JDW: Hasbara Crew, False Claims and Bad Behavior

My Wikipedia Stalker | Tikun Olam |

A number of other bloggers, journalists and I have written about the pro-Israel brigades who haunt Wikipedia, deleting articles deemed anti-Israel and writing articles which promote a pro-Israel narrative. Among others, Gerald Steinberg and his NGO, NGO Monitor have been accused of engaging in such prohibited behavior. He even had the chutzpah to write a “paper” published at a vanity “academic” publishing site boasting of the methods he used to game Wikipedia.

For years, I’ve noted that any attempts other Wikipedia editors have made to write about this blog or link to anything published here have been met with a show of opposition from these pro-Israel editors. Scores of links to posts here have been deleted in an attempt to ensure that my reporting would not be treated as a credible Wikipedia source. Over a long period, the Tikun Olam article has been defaced by others. In another instance, a major story I broke here announcing that Avera Mengistu had been captured in Gaza and was being held by Hamas, was deleted after a similar campaign. Though the article was reinstated after being rewritten, there is no link to the original post I wrote breaking the story.

I visited the Racial Profiling in Israel Wikipedia article and noted that a user named Kigelim had initiated a campaign to delete the article on June 20th. The Wikipedia user, Kigelim, has been singled out for stalking me by a Wikipedia admin.

Then I did even more sleuthing and visited Kigelim’s talk page where I discovered that over the years he’s stalked and defaced this blog’s Wiki page. Eventually he was prohibited from editing it at all.
