A simple question: How is it possible that nobody looked at Mr. Northam’s college and medical school yearbooks when he was running for governor?

It’s odd that wasn’t picked up on earlier. Apparently oppo research was an epic fail. In 2017, that revelation would likely have deflated support for Northam sufficiently to deny him the Governor’s mansion. Other than being a shiny object that deflects from other national scandals, I am not sure what these revelations do now. Having said that, his behavior (in spite of recent denials) from then is inexcusable. It was not acceptable in the mid-1980s and it isn’t now – not if one has even a remote tendency to any sort of liberal or progressive set of beliefs. Too bad he doesn’t resign. Not sure what hanging on buys him other than all sorts of unwanted scrutiny. His career as a politician is toast. Maybe he has a future as a Fox News commentator?
