It’s articles like this that make me want to run headlong into a brick wall repeatedly until my skull fractures and my brain leaks out my ear.

A judge has set a $1 million bond for an Ohio man accused of raping a now-pregnant 11-year-old girl.

Police said Juan Leon-Gomez, 26, of Massillon, was arrested Wednesday after a mother reported that her daughter was missing. […]

Ohio’s new “heartbeat bill” means that the 11-year-old girl will likely be forced to carry the child to birth, regardless of the fact that she was raped.

According to NPR, the “Human Rights Protection Act,” as the heartbeat bill was renamed, bans abortions as early as five or six weeks, before many women even know they’re pregnant. It adds criminal penalties for doctors who violate the law, and does not include exceptions for cases of rape or incest.

I would like everyone who reads this site to call up Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. His number is (614) 466-3555.

Ask his office if the girl -who is 11- will in fact have to carry her rape baby to term as a result of the bill he signed into law. Ask whether they’ve lined up a family to adopt it if she doesn’t want it, and whether it’s the child rape victim’s responsibility to find a family or if the notoriously generous Ohio Republican party will foot the bill. You might ask if they have therapy lined up for the girl -who is 11- for the triple trauma of being raped, being forced to carry a rape baby to term, and then being given -at age 11- the choice of keeping a child -even one conceived of sexual violence- or giving it up.

I’m sure they will be ready -and happy- to answer your questions. Encourage your friends to call too: (614) 466-3555, and be sure to ask to leave a message for Mike DeWine. Maybe ask if they know the word “foresight” while you’re at it, because if anyone knows about foresight it’s a guy that signs laws that don’t anticipate child rape victims being forced to carry a rape baby to term.

Because ya know, fuck that dude. Fuck that dude right in the dick with a pickle fork.
