Image: “Trump’s Really Great Amazing Russian Dolls”.

The president, his personal lawyer, the secretary of state, and the attorney general are up to their eyeballs in the Ukrainian conspiracy—so would it surprise you to learn that the vice president was also in on the game? ICYMI, Greg Sargent has a helpful timeline showing Mike Pence is lying his lying little mouth off about what he knew about the scheme to strong arm Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky into smearing Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

May 19: Trump goes on Fox News and rails about Biden and Ukraine, falsely claiming that Biden improperly pressured Ukraine to fire a prosecutor who was supposedly “after” his son.

May 20 or thereabouts: At the instruction of the White House, Pence cancels his planned trip to Zelensky’s May 20 inauguration.

June 21: Giuliani tweets an explicit demand that Zelensky ramp up the investigations into Biden.

July 18 or thereabouts: Trump orders the freeze on aid to Ukraine.

July 25: Trump directly pressures Zelensky, as an aide to Pence listens in.

Sept. 1: Pence meets with Zelensky to tell him the military aid isn’t coming, because of “corruption” in Ukraine.

It’s worth reading the whole thing. Like I said in my preface, I got busy with other stuff, the plot continues to thicken, and I hit the hay before I finished this. But you can add Mike Pence to the growing layers of Russian Ukrainian nesting dolls—let’s not let him fly under the radar. How many administration officials and presidential surrogates are we up to now? Five? Six? I’m losing count.

Я такий, який ви, як ви, і ми всі разом.
