Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be continuing with the painting the Grand Canyon. The photo that I’m using (mine) is seen directly below. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 5×7 inch canvas.
When last seen the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
I have now refined the central portion of the painting. The various buttes now appear in more muted colors suggesting the distance. To the left, the large tree has undergone a transformation but I’m not quite happy with it. We’ll see what can be done with it. Note also the revised distant blue background. More for next week.
The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.
