You didn’t mention South Carolina, did you? Do you think a Jaime Harrison win is out of the question?
I sure hope Senator Graham loses. Although the fact he has such a competitive race in SC is telling. But, Jaime sure seems to be a quality candidate.
If Democrats win the Senate, nuke the filibuster for everything. No more “secret” holds where one person in the minority can gum up the works. Trash the “blue slip” judge tradition, too. Strip the minority of power, and then reinstate those rules when the Democrats lose control of the Senate.
Hardball, since it seems like that is the only language Republicans understand.
If this very upbeat prognostication actually comes anywhere near what you describe, the Democrats should damn well be prepared to roll into Washington on political bulldozers and just roll over Republicans. They had better walk in the door with a no compromise position. The GOP should not even have a voice. They own this shit, lock, stock, and barrel. They have earned some time wandering in the desert, and Democrats had better learn how to play by the new rules, the rules created and used by the GOP for decades. If they don’t, they might well never get another chance.
