I don’t think Chris Matthews it the best national weathervane, but it’s really odd to see this guy on teevee…the guy who thought Bush had a sunny nobility that only left-wing whack jobs couldn’t appreciate…casually discussing whether war crimes would be appropriate for the Decider.

If there’s an easy place to check to see what Republican “sensible centrist” Village Idiots are saying, you check Politico. If you want to see what the Democratic versions of the same Village Idiots are saying, you check “Hardball”.
…because they want no prosecution of Bush crimes while in office.
I’m wanting to see Israel prosecuted for war crimes as well, and whether there was tacit approval for that atrocity in Gaza from Bush and/or Cheney.
You think there might be some truth to Russell Tice’s hint that journalists (or the media in general) might have big long dossiers (excuse me, obsolete term – gobs and gobs of database entries) on them? Do you think that from time to time the Bushies dropped information that let these journalists know that they were being watched?
No, didn’t think so.
So what’s the consensus? Would they be appropriate?
in my book, yes. But the significant things is that the question is being asked at all.
no, I meant what was the consensus on his show. No cable here you know.
I already know what you think 🙂

You mean “fair & balanced?
AFAIC, that he brings it up, in a non-conspiratorial way, helps put the meme up on the front burner so it can simmer some more, letting the aroma of prosecutions waft through to the larger number of people who should know that it is possible to walk & chew gum simultaneously.
Why the man had his job then, or why he still has it now is one of the true mysteries of life. I would think any average town of 5-10 thousand would contain several people who would bring more to the table than CM.
