Okay I read the list posted in mcjoan’s Midday Open thread at the orange site. The list is a link to Feminista and why liberal men do it better.
Here’s my shot at the Why Liberal Women do it Better list. It started here as a comment in the Froggy Bottom Pub (thanks to maryb!) and then I posted it as a diary at the Orange site. It was lots of fun…hey it was a diversion this afternoon…and I’m brain dead from the ‘war president’ speeches and politics!
10 Reasons Why Liberal Women are Better in Bed
1. Conscience! A liberal woman knows it’s not all about her. She knows there is a intelligent partner attached to that hot body!
2. Tears! Liberal women’s tears – heh – not during sex – unless the orgasm makes her scream and her eyes water! Tears are for the crimes against society perpetrated by rethug governments and during chick flicks.
3. A sense of perspective. A liberal woman knows that there is `marital duty sex’, good sex, great sex…and hot sweaty roll in the sheets sex. She knows that `marital duty’ is a Republican male idea and any of the other three is a liberal’s goal. She prefers the last one most of all.
4. A sense of adventure. Liberal women are willing to try new things with consenting partners and believes location, location, location – means bed, sofa, floor, or wherever it works! Republican women are `good girls’ that don’t do it unless they are engaged or married.
5. Foreplay. Liberal women know there are many erogenous zones….from toes to nose…and a brain as well.
6. Size. Liberal women like size as well as the next woman….but they want some technique and finesse that goes with it. They also are comfortable with their own size…of bottom, top, and every other part.
7. Flexibility. See #4.
8. Largesse. Liberal women will never insist on going to a restaurant that is too expensive and then whine about the service and what everyone is wearing. They prefer money be spent on health care and education for everyone. They like quiet intimate dinners…sitting in bed naked with pizza is just fine.
9. Wooing techniques. Liberal women like being assertive….and sending messages and talking dirty on the telephone to their partners. Liberal women know the words to use on the phone…and they know how to perform them as well!

Number one reason why liberal women do it better:
Laughter as aphrodisiac – liberal women have a sense of humor and a joy in everyday life. Conservative women are joyless and mired in structured roles.
Fun sex = the ability to laugh in the middle of it (’cause let’s face it, sometimes it’s hilarious!)and not ruin the mood. Just roll with it. Or over it as the case may be.

Hey…it does get better. 😉 Our child is 28 months and I am just now getting back into the swing of things as it were.
Best thing about liberal patners: Patience.
The kid thing is an intrusion (Ms GR and I sometimes used to refer to our kids as the OPs — Orgasm Police), but it gets easier as they get older. Ours are now 6 and 8 (yes, they do eventually get there), and at least at certain hours, they’re sound sleepers. And Cake is right — patience is a liberal virtue, at least if Ms GR is at all representative.

Liberals don’t take ourselves so damn seriously like the Republicans do — and we know that sex is for more than just procreation; if God/Goddess/FSM wanted sex to be just about procreation, he/she/whatever would have had us go into “heat” at set intervals.
And as for size, I’ve always believed that what matters is not the size of the instrument, but rather the skill of the musician… 😉
Speaking of which, I checked out that original GQ article that started all this.
I can’t imagine any woman that would want to be with a guy like that. For the sake of the male readers of GQ hopefully his column is laughed at.
The underlying theme there seemed to be “The Republican guy is the asshole you wish you never agreed to a date with.”
Although there was a lot to be said for number 8. I hate guys who will NEVER pick the restaurant.
Sex – different types for different moods…sometimes soft and romantic, or there is hot and sweaty, or the random quickie, or…..
Liberal women do like it many different ways…!
we give liberal men more chances to get it right.:-) and are willing to work with them.
Liberals do take instruction well….and remember that the ‘perfect spot’ changes…and they are really good at learning new things!
…choose OTHER liberal women, and don’t have ANY problems with # 4 at ALL! (grin)

because we have a sense of self. We know ourselves and what we like and want in a partner and are unafraid to tell them. We know it is not a “duty” but a joy to be so spiritually connected at the height of it all.
The world is falling apart, activists abound and write dyanmite diaries….and you all put a diary about sex at the top of the recommended list! At least we have a fall back ‘position’ when the world gets bad out there! ;^D

Liberal women enjoy sex and are pleased to acknowledge that fact. Others, (non-liberal), frequently either disavow or pretend enjoyment and instead use sex as a weapon, an instrument of coercion or extortion.

i read all these lists and the comments on several sites today and just chuckled inside.
in my experience, since i can only speak for myself;
republican men have been the best lovers….by far…and my sample size is in in the many hundreds….i just cant stand them outside the bedroom and luckily i never felt i had to.
the most well endowed men have usually been democrats….what does that say for republican men? that they overcame their size obstacles? does penis size have anything to do with political orientation? someone should really do a study. i think it would answer many of our questions as to why conservatives, esp religious conservatives, tend to wage and support war and violent culture. does anyone doubt that john jerry had a bigger penis than george bush? but john kerry came off as a limp dicked weenie compared to that idiot in the white house.
while most of the sexually progressive het men i know seem to be republicans, most of the sexually progressive women i know are democrats (gay or straight it doesnt seem to matter).
in the swingers world nearly all the men and a good portion of the women seem to be republican…..but as you move towards the kinky sex/bdsm/polyamory world people lean more left.
even though southern red states have the most ridiculous laws about sex including making sex toys illegal, they evidently buy the most porn according to the people who supply it to hotels. thats because they can get their sex fix in secret…..shame really is the name of the game here.
the worst criticism i have ever received concerning my lifestyle, work, and beliefs is from women who think of themselves as left wing feminists….there is just no room in their narrow minds for anything sex positive if it has to do with porn, prostitution, or consensual power exchange…i consider them a worse threat to my sexual freedoms than the right wing pseudo christians.

Maybe, given your line of work, we can say that Republican men are better at sex with women who are not their wives or regular partners. No?
Being reasonably ‘experienced’ in my younger days (during the early 1970’s) I’ll jump right in…!
When it came to sex simply for the the indulgence of doing it…I have no idea what the politics of the men were. I never wanted to really talk to them about anything…just screwing around was the game. Now considering that a good portion of that time was in Utah I’ll bet Republican. What I did find in those days was little or no creativity in my partners.
Size…maybe they were bigger but I wouldn’t bet on it. But then again I’ve never taken time to measure while I’m in the middle of screwing around. And since I really find there is more to sex than insert Tab A into Slot B (or C) size was never considered.
I’ll agree that most ‘swingers’ I know are Republican but most are men and their wives / partners really don’t approve. The partners go along because they are afraid of giving up the security of their marriages.
Women that disapprove of pornography or prostitution – including me – generally are more concerned on a global scale about the exploitation of women too young to make a decision. The average 18-24 year old that ends up in porn and prostitution do it as a quick escape from an oppressive religious background. If the profession is someplace like Nevada where it is legal and regulated – do what you want. If it is illegal and oppressive no way will I approve. Just my .02
