I had to pay my rent yesterday and my server bill. Ad sales are still way down in this tanking economy and I can’t keep this blog going without your generous donations. This month, the need is greater than usual, so I hope you can add a little extra from your normal donations. I appreciate all your support, so thank you in advance for your support.
And here’s a quote of the day from Snarlin’ Arlen.
“Senator Reid assured me that I would keep my committee assignments and that I would have the same seniority as if I had been elected as a Democrat in 1980. It was understood that the issue of subcommittee chairmanships would not be decided until after the 2010 election. Some members of the caucus have raised concerns about my seniority, so the caucus will vote on my seniority at the same time subcommittee chairmanships are confirmed after the 2010 election. I am confident my seniority will be maintained under the arrangement I worked out with Senator Reid.”
If your (snail mail) address is still the same I will send you a little something that way. It’s been a while since I’ve contributed and you deserve it.
I got your letter today, Randy. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.
I threw some change in the tip jar. Keep bringing it Booman.
I put a few bucks in the pot. Unfortunately things are a bit short right now. We’re replacing our old car with yet another old car. It’s coming here to NY from Utah. Really. The Mormon Mazda.
Thinking back on the Byron York thread, maybe he just needed to buy some furnature from Red House Furniture in High Point, NC…
Not quite sure that I have words for that…
that bed did look perfect for a white person. Or a black person.
That ad certainly meets the “bizarre” definition at our house. It would probably be a hit in some parts of the midwest as well.
…and I really started getting mad on behalf of Al Franken. His seniority should begin the day new Senators were sworn in, Jan. 5th or whatever. He should not be surpassed by all of these appointed Senators.
Al Franken spent, what, two years running for Senate? And he loses his seniority to Johnny-Come-Latelys who are appointed in mid January?
That’s bullshit. Al Franken should get his proper seniority. It’s only fair.
Burris and Kaufman will be gone in 2011. Only Bennet and Gillibrand are likely to be ahead of him. But I agree with your point. Sadly, Franken should have won easily and he didn’t run the best campaign.
Or did it have more to do with his past?
But Franken won.
Donation… Booman, I just kicked in some $$ via paypal to keep this going.
we may have our disagreements, but your blog is one of the better ones.. I hope it doesn’t degenerate into what is happening lately over at the orange site.
cheers!
thanks, sp. I appreciate it.
Here’s some help from Indiana. Thanks for your dedication! Looks like we’re going to have the President here and next month, former President Clinton. Apparently, the powers on high believe Indiana is still very much in play.
thanks, ID. People really came through this month, which is a good thing because I needed it.
