Some Cuban Exiles are Ecstatic

I was born in 1969, in all that time I have never been as proud of a U.S. president as I am of President Obama today. I am overjoyed that he has restored full diplomatic relations with Cuba. Unfortunately for me, this incredibly welcome news comes at a time when I simply do not have the ability to sit down and write about what I think it means and how it makes me feel. I have too much going on at the moment.

But, just look at this:

(Reuters) – Some Cuban exiles rejoiced at the prospect of easier access to their relatives. Some swelled with guarded optimism over the prospect of thawing relations between the United States and the communist island. And some were simply “ecstatic.”

We should all be ecstatic. This is the best moment of this presidency so far.
