Come one come all to a weekend gathering of like minded folks that need hugs and some fun. We have been tossing this around and the interest is good. In a previous diary we took a poll and nine of you said yes, you would come, two said no and six said maybe. We also tossed around some dates and two came out with the highest votes and many of you are flexible.
The difficulty in trying to bring a group together like this will always be someone that wants to come will be unable to make it. We will do our best to try to include all that want to participate.
Without further ado please vote.Once the vote is tallied I will put forth another diary with information on Del Mar and accomadations etc.

Sea Kayak tours…this place looked interesting when I googled it. One of my staff grew up in San Diego and says the ecological reserve is worth seeing.
I like the idea of a 2 hour tour…for anyone not used to paddling any longer can be painful on muscles!
We are taking lessons locally but SF temps and water are COLD! My river inflatable kayak experience should hold up…although very different kind of craft. Depending on attire needed – I may have some extra water gear that I can pack to loan people.
I’m ready to make reservations for air, car, and motel as soon as we have a date!
Damn! New Hampshire is TOO far away from where the action is, especially in Winter. 🙁

Rosee… I officially invite you to take me kayaking this summer. 🙂 I’ve only been out on Little Lake Sunapee (?) a few times, but I’ve loved it. That lil place there where you can take out the demo kayaks. And once somewhere in Washington, NH… But I loved it! It’s so enjoyable…
Claremont right?? There are so many excellent kayaking spots in our area. I’ve also been on the Connecticut River a few times and played with several beavers there.
Stay in touch and we’ll definitely get together. You can use my husband’s kayak (he’s an avid golfer) so we’ll have LOTS of opportunities.
I also have a truck so carting them is no problem. But yes, let’s plan this for late spring!

Being a So Cal native (whose parents still live there), it would have been a nice visit — oh well, things happen for a reason.

Shirls…I have looked forward to something like this happening for so long now. I am beaming from ear to ear to see all that are interested for sure and those that are thinking maybe. Quit thinking and just come!! I know it will be one hell of a party and ya’ll have a designated driver buit in if it comes to that…lol! See you March 31st. I will be talking to the manager at the Best Western next door to see if I can get a discount of some kind.Also will get info on a couple other hotels close by and phone#s etc so you can get reservations. Spring break tends to run into April here so we will want to get reso’s right away.
Leezy. . .it is so great when the universe clears the way and is determined to give us exactly what we desire. When the timing is right, the timing is just absolutely right!!!
I know how that goes with the motels. . .when we set up seminars, we usually have to ask for a block of rooms, and then those needing rooms need to register ahead of time in order to get the lower rate. You will need a “Group” name that will need to be used in order to get the lower rate. You porbably already know this stuff and I have no doubt you will find the best prices you can. I’ll see if I can’t get the universe rolling in that direction (LOL).
