Update [2011-7-28 22:36:14 by BooMan]: House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told reporters there will be no vote tonight on House Speaker John Boehner’s debt ceiling proposal.
Things I learn from the Twitter machine:
House Leadership advises members: “Thank you for your patience. We hope to reach a decision soon on the schedule.”
GOP whip notice: “Members are advised to stay nearby as we still expect to vote later tonight.”
Boehner’s still sucking oxygen, but his career is pretty close to over. That’s the only suspense involved here.
